The Nokia N78 is easily one of the best Nokia phones out there when compared to its fetching price in the market. While this phone is not for the tech enthusiasts but people looking for a basic good phone willl love it!

The Nokia N78 is an awesome phone! :o very pleased with it. Apart from some bugs in software and fingerprint-magnet i'm very fond of this phone. Attracts attention with it's unique design which makes cool people look ever cooler. Good points are Symbian OS, Screen, Wi-Fi, FM Transmitter, light weight, sexy design.

If you have bought the Nokia N78 SIM-free or, like me, on pay-as-you-go ( £280 + £20 compulsory top-up) you can ' t help the feeling that you have been cheated simply because holding the phone in your hands for the first time makes you think that you have just bought a phone for a fraction of the price mentioned above, i.e. a very cheap one. The entire outside of this handset is made out of plastic, moreover the front and back are made out of that kind of plastic which is impossible ...

Nokia N78 review
10 Jun 2008

Summary
The Nokia N78 packs Wi-Fi and 3G networking into a bland-looking shell. So why was this phone ultimately a winner?

Pros
Scroll wheel makes navigating the phone quick and easy. Great Web browser. Top-notch music experience, with FM transmitter. Slick, fast phone.

Cons
GPS couldn't find us in Manhattan. Images from camera weren't great. No IM clients. Design is ugly.

Nokia N78 (unlocked)
20 Jun 2008

Pros
The Nokia N78 features a 3.2-megapixel camera and integrated GPS for navigation and geotagging capabilities. The smartphone also offers U.S. 3G support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

Cons
The N78 didn't have the best call quality, nor did it produce great pictures. It's also expensive.

Verdict
As with all Nokia N series smartphones, the Nokia N78 impresses with its high-end features, especially the new geotagging tool, but we were slightly disappointed by the spotty call quality.

Nokia's multimedia-toting smart phones are no longer alone in their market and the N78 tries to build upon the earlier N-series successes. HSDPA, 3G and GPS are all on board this thin, candy-bar handset, which also boasts a flashier interface and an ...

Pros
HSDPA ; GPS ; Wi-Fi ; 3.5mm headphone jack

Cons
Navigation key isn't as easy to use as we expected ; camera could be better

Verdict
The N78 isn't a bad phone by any means but it's not as easy to use as we'd hoped for. While the range of features makes it exciting, the occasionally fiddly navigation key and 3.2-megapixel camera had us yearning for something a little more refined

HTC TyTN II
9 Feb 2009

Great connectivity. Keyboard. Reliable. Fast. WM. I use the HTC TyTN II mainly for :
- MP3 via Motorola S9 H2DP bluetooth headphones.
- Memory Map as I'm into hillwalking.
- Email.
- Movies.
- Sat Nav / TomTom.
- Various applications and occassional web browsing.
It does them all brilliantly, though I do convert my movies to MP4 first.
All these devices have poor battery life if you use Bluetooth, GPS etc, but I get around this by having a battery extender...
