I thought I was the only unlucky one who had one of these that worked once then constantly needed repair. Everytime I get it out to use it something goes wrong, The most common fault seems to be air locks so no water comes through. You are supposed to be able to clear this by pumping on the trigger etc etc. The tools has never worked for more than 2 minutes and it has been back twice. I think anyone buying this machine would not fail to be impressed it cleans the carpets perfectly. Put machine away and it immediately got the sulks and has not worked properly since. Needed to replace one of the brush belts by the third use now all that works on it is the hand held and suction. Bissell's helpline is a total waste of time and money since I held on listening to how important my call was for twenty minutes. I sent an email asking if they could advise my nearest accredited... I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews! We bought the bissell pro heat turbo 9400E whilst on sale for under £180 and it was our best buy ever!! I foolishly bought a duck egg blue carpet. With two babies, a dog and a builder husband, it wasn't my best decision! This cleaner works wonders! Drinks, food, dog hairs, sand, dirt, playdough all removed!! Did try it with another make of solution and didn't perform so well so my advice is to stick with bissell shampoo! The only negative is it... (read more)

Puchased the 9200-E in 2008. When first used I was very impressed with the ease of use and the results it gave. However the next time we went to use it,it would not work properly. So it was sent back under warrenty. When we got it back we were told it was a trigger problem. Again it worked brlliantly, finished the carpets packed the claener away. Today went to clean the carpets and yes you've guessed correctly, IT WONT WORK!!!
Appears that the pump is a fault this time.

Purchased a Bissell 9200 Proheat re-conditioned direct from Bissell. The machine has never worked properly in the 2 years we have had it. It has been back to Bissell 3 times under the guarantee for repairs and still does not work properly. We have banished it to the garage and now find hiring a rug doctor for the weekend the best option. We purchased one of these reconditioned cleaners from Bissell. It was used twice and went wrong and was returned to bissell who said they repaired it. It wasn't used again for a while and when we went to use it it wouldnt work, we then realised it was out of warrenty so had to get it fixed at our own expense. Problems with the water pump we were told. The next time we wanted to use it found that the water bladder was perished. Replaced that and used it once.Went to use it again and it smoked... The Bissell 9200E Proheat 2x Upright has been one of the best steamcleaners I have ever used. The work is not as time consuming as other models, the system is very efficient. We had a new carpet that was stained from wear and tear of an old dog with bladder problems, a young dog with sensitive stomach problems and a new baby with food throwing problems. Needless to say, our new carpet was very stained after seven months. The Bissell with the pet odor shampoo took the stains right out on the... (read more)
