2005 VW Polo BlueMotion 1 1.4 Diesel. I have written reviews at 40000 and 68000 miles previously- the car has now done 96000 miles and continues to run without breakdown.Performance continues to be good. One slight problem it intermittently has is needing 4 or 5 seconds turning over when hot, although usually starting instantly hot or cold-dealer says its usually a partly blocked fuel filter, but this has been changed at 40000 and 80000, and it did this immediately after new filter, so may need… Read Full Review

I've already reported on my Polo Bluemotion at 40000 miles in March 2012-heres an update- its now done 68000 miles- it continues to run just about faultlessly-at both M.O.T. tests emissions pollution levels were too low to measure (and the dealer advised me that it is a worry if any Bluemotion VW gives higher readings).Oil changes continue at every 10000 and services every 20000 miles. I've had my Polo Bluemotion 1 for almost 3 years now from new- its done 49000 miles and had only one fault in all that time-my own fault-if you brim fill the tank absolutely full to measure the mpg it knocks out one of the emission sensors and the engine management system warning light comes on-it was replaced free under warranty so I was lucky- it costs £80 otherwise. Its had an oilchange every 10000 and service every 20000 miles. Apart from that the car has been absolutely reliable and… Read Full Review

Service from the dealership was a pleasent experience and they washed the car on all 3 services - a nice little plus when you get your keys back.
Always got a petrol courtesy car and couldnt wait to get my much nipier little diesel back, they feel better built. Tax free, cheap to insure, cheap to run and solid vw feel.
Haven't missed the toys my last car had, watching the mpg will keep you smiling instead.
Book a test drive, i was apprehensive part exchanging a sporty car for this thinking it… Read Full Review
