Overall, the Samsung T100 is a very nice looking telephone, always wanted one and recently bought one for a cheap price.
I have seen some of the newer versions of this phone, they were not to my liking, as the handset shape and design could not be improved upon in any way.
Wanted the front flap, when closed to light up via a button to view the date and time. The process of entering a new contact within the PhoneBook was touched on earlier.
However, he booklet again declined to offer me...

I've had a Samsung SGH T100 for about a year now, and on the whole am very pleased with it. Its small enough to fit in a pocket, the keys are large enough for texting and the battery lasts well.
BUT there are some poor features which are starting to niggle, so I'll probably be upgrading soon. The ring tone is just too quiet. If the phone is in your bag, you may well miss calls (believe me I have loads of times). Also you can't have vibrate and ring on at the same time. My other...

Upgraded from a nokiato the Samsung T100 mobile phone. Took me a while to get used to the Samsung as I have always had Nokia's before. When i bought this Samsung T100, I was looking for a colour flip mobile phone. I didn't read into it AT ALL and now regret it as I wasted £80!! 2nd hand! The ringtones are rubbish, texting takes forever and you can't go onto 2 messages, you can't add words onto the predictive texting, plus you can not store any messages to the phone. You cant see your sent messages, neither is there an outbox. This phone really is rubbish.

I bought a Samsung T100 second hand, although it had only been owned 1 week. It was £80 from an individual store. I love the phone especially the high quality colour screen. It came with a good speedy charger and 2 batteries. One is thicker than the other, but has less life. It is of a resonable size. Despite other comments the ringtone volume is ok. As a teenager it is an ideal phone, although lacking in features. The most notable is the lack of such simple things as a stopwatch, then... (read more)

This Samsung T100 mobile phone has great potential but is let down by a few stupid things that Samsung could have fixed. The predictive text is the worst I have ever used. You can't add new words to it's dictionary, so those of us with non-standard names or a more 'colourful' use of language are stuck. Reception is also not as good as it could be.
But hell it's a pretty phone. If you like the looks and don't mind shouting at it when you're frustrated with its stupid features then get it.

I have to disagree with most reviewers, in that I simply cannot get on with the Samsung T100 mobile phone.
Ok, it looks neat & stylish - but once the novelty had worn off, I soon started to get irritated with it.
Texting is the main problem. Having to scroll between various screens & options to find punctuation marks is annoying enough, but what really irritates is the phones' inability to 'learn' new words. Anything that isn't in the dictionary has to be manually spelt every time you use...

I've had this Samsung T100 for a while, seems OK. My first non-Nokia. It does it job. Nice to use, nice looking. Although feature wise its quite limited. The phonebook and SMS are very primitive. SMS is stored only on SIM, there is no list of messages - its 1 message per screen, the phonebook doesn't allow more than 1 number per name. I too just recently got the T100 (June 17th). Absolutely love it, but I'll review another time.

Thought I'd mention that I've seen lots of how tos on adding new words to the dictionary (particularly on this site), ranging from holding down the * key, to clicking through 5 other menus to successfully submit a new word.

Most of them tended to suggest it's difficult to add a new word, when in fact the phone is really quite intuitive and learns itself. I think you'll find that all you need to do is type the unknown word in ABC mode, then straight after you finish the last letter, change the mode back to T9English (sounds pretty logical to me!).

Next time you try the word in T9English it should be saved. Keep in mind that this doesn't appear to work if you do half the word in T9English mode then try to finish it off in ABC mode. Admittedly this wasn't immediately obvious (and probably should be in the manual), but when you think about it it makes sense.

Haven't had a Nokia mobile since 1996 so can't really compare to how Nokia's handle adding new words, but I hope this comment helped someone!

I disagree with most of your points here. I've had the Samsung T100 for about 6 months and I've had no trouble with it. Deleting received and dialled calls is simple. True, messages do get erased if you are interrupted during writing them, but that isn't a major problem, and the fact that you can't set the clock on 12 hour time doesn't make the slightest bit of difference. So overall, I think that your reasons for disliking this phone are fake.
