I have had the Canon 450D for about 2 years now and I am really impressed with it. This is my first DSLR and I was little unsure which low-price DSLR offers a good quality. Overall, I have not been disappointed with the quality of the photos. The IS lens works great and I have taken some pretty amazing photos with my GorillaPod (flexible Tripod) on the go. ...

I couldn't make a better decision. Before a trip to Southeast Asia I decided to buy a new digital camera and the photographer I met in the shop suggested me to buy the Canon EOS 450D saying that it is easy to use, with a user friendly menu and good resoults. He was right and you can ask to see my pictures if you want! ;)...

My Canaon EOS450 D completley died after only 15 months, the circuit have gone and it will cost £170 to correc. Surley a product of this quality should not have this kind of problem? I dod love this camera, but have been bitterly disappointed with the customer service I have received since it's breakdown....

I've recommended this camera to many friends - even one's not interested in buying a new camera :o) It's perfect. Almost. If you get the one with the lens kit, the lens is pretty pony, I'd get some extra lenses. Other then that...it's a great entry-level SLR. Intuitive to any Canon users, fully customisable and the automatic modes are pretty spot on too. I want to spend all my time with it, I don't go anywhere without it, I like it more than I like some members of my own family....

This is a tough decision. I have the Xsi (Canon 450D). I immediately wanted more zoom range. You will miss the range you powershot has compared to the kit lens. Before my daughter ' s graduation, I had a little windfall profit, and I found a 18-200 OS Quantaray on craigslist. That is not the best lens, but I don ' t see it being worse than my kit lens, and the zoom range is WONDERFUL! my next lens will be the 50mm 1.8. I bought my camera the way they suggested because I was going on a rare trip...

Used the Canon EOS 450D for several months--delighted with the first canon I've owned. Always been a nikon user until this camera was recommended by a friend. A very good piece of equipment at a slightly high price but finding it well worth the cost after using it. Not enough room here to list it's good points and no bad ones I can think off. have been into photograghy for fifty years so I know my cameras and this is the best one I've had in my hands....

I love the fact that the Canon EOS 450D is so easy to use. Its got tonnes of features, its lightweight and very stylish. It doesn't have video recording capability. Parts are expensive such as new zoom lenses. Overall, I think its a fantastic camera as an owner of one!...

Canon still has the edge for photography. They had the technology since the old school photography and with the dawn of digital technology they were still at par with the rest of the brands. It's worth the price, high but definitely worth it. I wouldn't rely on other brands not that their bad but I would go for the brand I could and have trusted for a long time....

I have been using the Canon 450D for 1 week now. It is a new to the market and seems to slot in between the 400D and 40D. Its is a well built and easy to use camera...die hard Nikon fans may disagree. It handles well and feels nicely balanced. I got going with as usual without reading the manual, and within seconds was taking some very nice pictures. The most significant advance is the live view function. This allows the user to see the image on the very nice 3inch screen. Another major...

Just a follow up to my review. The I have been using the camera for a couple of months and taken 2000+ pictures.

As you get familiar with it, the better the camera becomes. It has an excellent range of features and modes to shoot great photos with.

Being film less really helps accelerate that journey. I can thoroughly recommend a digital SLR and this 450D is a great place for a variety of user from beginner to advanced.

Happy shooting.
