I have heard that they often try to talk down the valuation they give you on line, but I never got that far. They were way below what guides like Glass's price guide suggested, £300 less than a similar website, £1,000 than the dealer offered in part exchange, and £1,500 less than I eventually got selling privately. I wish I had read some of these reviews before wasting over an hour of my time at my local Tysons Corner VA office. I sold my car at Webuyanycar. I was quoted £300 as it was 13 years old and was ok with that. Come the day I went to sell it they said there was a £50 transaction fee and he took £50 off for some scratches which I couldn't even see. I was very disappointed with £200, I paid £110 for a new battery in it 2 months ago. I was at the Danbury, CT. office yesterday. This is a classic "Bait and Switch" operation which is illegal in CT. They give you a reasonable wholeale price on their web site for your car, but when you are at their operation, they use all kinds of phony gadgets to discount you car off of the quoted price.....measuring the thickness of the paint???? Very Happy with the service i was given i have been trying to get rid of my car for a while a friend recommended the company and filled out the form online and got a quote straight away it was lower than what i thought i would get as on the website they said anything between £150-50,000 i was offered £100 but to be honest i wanted to get rid of the car and fast so £100 was better than getting nothing received a call a few minutes later arranging collection and was collected that afternoon... I have a 2009 Kia Rio 1.4 with just 39k miles, 6 months MOT, FULL service history. I wanted to get a quick sale and didn't have time to advertise online or locally. Like other reviewers, the price given online and when they saw my car was very different. A few usual scratches and a couple of car park dents saw the price plummet by £600! Quick and relatively stress free transaction but absolutely appalled in this day of bank "fast payments" that they get away with only paying you 4 working days after you sell them the car unless you pay them an extra £25. I supplied truthful information( car needed a motor) about my car and got what I thought was a fair quote of $765 ONLINE however after I got there they only offered me a measly $200!!! Other than the fact that the motor needed to be fixed the car was in great shape and could have been sold for hundreds in parts alone.They really ripped me off!!! The pressure you face is in having to have your car re-towed back to your house if it's not running. they know that you probably won't do that because you lose even more money so they can then make the rip-off offer's they present to you. Lead you on with the online appraisals but the truth is what you expect. They are reselling and looking to make all the money from your car. When it sounds to good it is. Made an appointment and got there to find someone had walked in and got preference. Don't bother with the appointment if you want to check it out and expect all the waiting you would have at any car dealer. (read more)

If you expect to get the market private value for your car using this service, then you will be disappointed, they do however, offer you a quick way to sell your car and they make it as easy as possible, the trick is to be absolutely truthful on the original valuation about any damage, they need to sell the vehicle on, so bear that in mind, I used webuyanycar 5 years ago, and nearly decked the guy for being insulting and derisory, they appear to have turned it around. I was selling my car. I am stopping the ownership of any car.They made it simple; the price they offered online was the price they gave. I arrived there left the car and the relevant paperwork,job done in under 2 hours including the journey home. I found the salesman to be excellent, helpful very courteous and professional a pleasure to deal with. Explaining every step of the way, ensuring my understanding of the process and why, he even filled in the form for me to get a refund on the road tax, which I was unaware I was entitled to! So what about you wasting my time? and for that matter other customers time. The buyer assured us the 'computer valuation' was based on the 'average' condition. Our car was in extremely good condition.
We sold our car on the 1st viewing for £2500.
The lesson here is if you have a clapped out jalopy them WBAC is probably your best bet. For the rest of us, steer clear!

I wasn't going to write a review, but you just emailed me and told me that my latest valuation was £1025, that's down from £1045 a month ago! Luckily I sold the car for £1500 through ebay at the weekend without much hassle at all. Pros: Quick valuation and local centres. Cons: You don't get anywhere near the market value for your car if it's any good. (read more)

I was a bit dubious about using your company as I wasn't sure I would get a fair price. However, when I did a comparison to local garages I believe I got a fair price. The advisor at Kinnaird Park office explained everything fully to me and dealt with my transaction in a efficient and professional manner. I haven't gone beyound the initial on line assesment, because the offer is far too low, and am convinced on face to face valuation they will find excuses to pay out less. This sort of service is fine for a tatty tired old car thats difficult to sell, or if someone just hasn't the time or inclination to sell, and doesn't mind reciving a little less.
