“Should be called "worst car buyer".com”

Written on: 16/05/2016 by GeorgeBranhurst (1 review written)

Im totally lost as to how this company can advertise such savings as £2500 per car when they very simply put, renege on their on screen price......thus costing me money and catergorically not saving me a pound let alone two and a half thousand of them!! Surely the relevant watchdogs should be all over them and trading standards..........actually questioned myself until I found a similar company that offered more and stuck to it, thus proving what we buy any car are!! Anyway.....big thank… Read Full Review

“They will screw you. Avoid.”

Written on: 16/05/2016 by 258Caldwell (1 review written)

Offered a fair trade in price on line, but then tried to take over £1000 off when i visited on the most flimsy of grounds. Car is in excellent condition, as the inspector guy said himself. Waste of time… Read Full Review

“Excellent Service”

Written on: 14/05/2016 by Darwin349 (1 review written)

I am in the process of changing cars, and have had several quotes for the trade-in value of my old car. I was surprised that We Buy Any Car offered a higher value than any of the trade-in offers. I also found the Assessor was extremely professional, and the money arrived exactly on the day specified. Excellent service… Read Full Review

They tried to buy my Mercedes S350 which is spotless with full service history for £435. Quote online for £2,450 They tried to create makebelieve faults with the car that didn't exist so that they could push the price down further.Really felt insulted by these time wasters!!! “If your life is not already miserable WBAC will make it so”

Written on: 18/04/2016 by oldrock (1 review written)

They quoted £9K online for a 2010 Freelander 2 which was pretty spotless inside and out for its age having brand new tyres and some re-sprays done on minor scratches.. They then dropped it to £6100 on the basis of chip marks which are on all cars of any age.. I drove around the corner and traded it in to a Landrover dealer for £8500. … Read Full Review

“Most negative and rude man I've ever met”

Written on: 09/04/2016 by LindseyKenney424 (1 review written)

On getting my quote on line I went to there office/hut at Asda York within 10 seconds I new I wasn't going to sell my car to this man. Right from the off negative comments no service history minus £300 smallest of stone chips on the underside minus £700 . Then followed the insult on my profession excuse me wot. If I spoke to my customer like I was I'd soon be out of buissness. Following by more negative comments and the so called guaranteed quote was shot to pieces. The only positive thing… Read Full Review

“i didn't know Richard Turpin was still around”

Written on: 05/04/2016 by BarryWarner007 (1 review written)

Awful Awful Awful, never in my life have I received such an arrogant, sarcastic, patronising service as I had from this company. The salesman offered me a price that was so far away from the market value I don't think i'd have been more surprised if i'd bent over. The term daylight robbery springs to mind. I would never ever recommend using we buy any car.com but i'll certainly tell people to keep away from them if they want to sell a car. I was absolutely disgusted with this company and it… Read Full Review

“Sellers Beware - Absolute Nightmare !”

Written on: 11/03/2016 by VicenteChaney (1 review written)

The "retail branch manager" met us in the car park, he was wearing a yellow high visibility jacket and we thought he was the attendant, didn't introduce himself. At that point my wife wanted us to turn around and go home. He led us up some stairs to a sparsely furnished, and obviously, rented "office" - comprising of a computer, a table, 3 chairs and a telephone. This was located in a fairly deserted out of town business park, at no time did we see anyone else or sign post, anywhere, for… Read Full Review

“Perfect if you want to hand your car over for nothing!”

“Initial valuation is a joke”

Written on: 29/02/2016 by Ballardil405 (1 review written)

The initial valuation bears no resemblance to what you will eventually be offered. They expect the car to be in pristine showroom condition irrespective of its age. They wipe their hand over every inch of every panel of the car and then deduct money for every chip visible or not. My suggestion is that if your planning to buy a new car, part ex, do not believe the advert and sell to these people, you will be disappointed. I don't mean the odd £ here or there, it can be as much as 50% of the… Read Full Review

“Poor price”

Written on: 27/02/2016 by cthcth (2 reviews written)

As many others online price had £1000 knocked off on inspection-had classed it as fair condition on 5 yr old car with bumper scuffs and one tiny painted over stone chip to stop any rust taking hold. Took to main dealer 2 weeks later, with additional scuff from some tool in airport carpark, £400 more straight off without any hassle or haggling. If WBAC can't beat main dealer it's not offering much in the way of value. Also got link sent to Trustpilot for review, gave 2 stars as here, review… Read Full Review

“hopeless”

Written on: 26/02/2016 by 289Andrews (1 review written)

Not the best day to view a potential purchase as the roads were quite wet and dirty, but on arrival at the wbac office I was quickly assured that the cleanliness of the car made no difference to the price they were going to offer.(I immediately smelled a rat). After pawing through my documentation trying to find something out of order the very polite young man took his clipboard and proceeded to inspect every inch of my seven year old Mercedes from a distance of not more than twelve inches… Read Full Review

“hyper critical evaluation of condition of car”

Written on: 22/02/2016 by EliasHuber (1 review written)

I feel that the examination of my 5 year old car was excessive there were many chips and minor scuffs pointed out that I honestly had never noticed and under normal circumstances never would. Once all these defects had been totted up the original online valuation had been reduced by 25%. I thought I had been honest in my description but feel that unless a pristine car is presented a prospective seller will never achieve the online quoted figure. There does not appear to be an allowance for fair… Read Full Review

“money off chips”

Written on: 22/02/2016 by SkylarHayes305 (1 review written)

I was quoted a value for my car, but during the inspection process the value was reduced due to a couple of very minor scratches that I had not noticed. My advice to anybody using We Buy Any Car is, to ensure that you have removed any marks, dirt, stains or any blemishes of what ever type and no mater how minor, as if you dont you will loose value… Read Full Review

“Final price 50% less than online 'guaranteed' price”

Written on: 19/02/2016 by Jaiden360 (1 review written)

Went through the online valuation for my car and gave an honest appraisal including a couple of scrapes on bumper & bodywork. This knocked about £400 off the 'perfect' price, but about what I expected. So happy with that, and expecting to have another few hundred quid knocked off from the 'inspection' I booked an appointment at the local centre. The inspection can only be described as a huge display with a lot of tutting and picking at imaginary chips and blemishes. According to the report… Read Full Review

I have just had a similar experience - dealt with an unprofessional individual who asked me how much I wanted for my car. Webuyanycar is a great concept but business with longevity display good customer service and integrity. I will not be recommending Webuyanycar to other and would rather put my car in scrap than sell it through this channel.

Just an update on this - I have just sold my car to a dealer at £2000 more than was offered by WBAC. As this was a trade price also, just shows how much I was being ripped off by WBAC on their valuation.

On this experience I can only suggest that people avoid them at all costs, no matter how desperate they may be for cash and think the WBAC route can help.

“We buy any car - No stars PLEASE AVOID ”

Written on: 14/02/2016 by VictorHudson335 (1 review written)

Totally disappointed with We Buy Any Car- PLEASE AVOID. When car was running was quoted £400 however when it was not starting was quoted £250 online - was totally honest with what I said online. Before I went for the already arranged appointment received a phone call from We Buy Any Car - asking me why are you not going to the scrappies with it? Told we buy any car that I thought I would get a better quote from we buy any car - which the online quote was £250. First the car was not… Read Full Review

Do I detect a note of this British Car Auction owned company 'WeBuyAnyCar' being deceitful with the way they do business - surely this is the case with the high number of people that experience the same treatment and have taken the time and effort to report it on this site as well as other sites! There will be a lot more people that have had the same experience with WeBuyAnyCar and not bothered to report it.

“quotes way below value”

Written on: 14/02/2016 by poBruce315 (1 review written)

Had 2 quotes on a BMW X1 Xline 20d 2016 - 2 weeks old 400 miles perfect condition. tried this because I had been given a 50gbp quote for my mondeo (sold to garage for 250) with MOT yet MOT cost 50 gbp. Paid 37k for the BMW with extras and was offered 24.5 k by these folk. Tempted to go to them and see if they try to knock it down further. I ask you a brand new car and new model just recently accepted from dealer. This car would easily sell for 32k to 35k… Read Full Review
