Good Points: None I'm afraid.
Bad Points: See below.
General comments: I think if you have a car worth less than £1k which is not a total wreck you will get trade price from www.webuyanycar.com and walk away happy. If you have no idea how much your car is actually worth then you will also walk away happy. Anybody else, do not even go close!
We thought that by disclosing every little problem on our car we would insure ourselves against nasty surprises. Didn't work as the salesman only seemed interested in pushing down the price with any excuse he could find - in this case, saying that a replaced rear panel (through an insurance approved bodyshop) would result in him having to knock off another £500 (on original quote less than £3k) - he did try other reasons but they didn't decrease the online quote so he stuck with the accident repair as the main problem (which you cannot factor in on the website quote).
However, we did know better so questioned him on what he was saying. All in all, not a pleasant experience so we walked away...

I needed to shift my S reg Renault Clio quickly so went to webuyanycar.com and was surprised at their reasonable quote. I read some reviews, which were fairly mixed so went with a price in mind that I would go down to if they tried to 'negotiate'. Having had a bad experience at Car Craft before, I was somewhat nervous, especially when the man did a thorough inspection of the bodywork (which was pretty good for a 9-10 year old car). Anyway, he then said that he was going to revalue it and actuall ...

All in all a smooth transaction. A very easy way to sell your car, if of course you dont mind settling for trade price. They gave us the price quoted on the internet although it helped as the car was spotless.

WARNING !!! They are part of the CarCraft group :-(. I almost sold my car to we buy any car. Was slightly suspicious in booking the appointment but on arrival to Nixon St. Rochdale I realised it was the same company and turned away. They sold me this very same car on finance only 4 months ago. Now my circumstances have changed I need to sell. I have been left with a £4000 negative equity bill. Whereas the finance settlement is £4000 above the true value of my car. It also seems I h ...

A complete waste of my time time. Of the 6 other people who attended Chertsey that evening it appeared everyone was offered a price lower than the initial offer. From what I could see only 1 out of 6 accepted the revised offer. The other 5 left somewhat annoyed. I stated my car was in average condition. Your valuer and your Financial Manager (who I approached because I felt that we had all been misled) all agreed the car was in an average/good condition. That being so why was the revised offer 4 ...

When I filled in the damage section of the form I included every small blemish in the paintwork. I received a quote of £3560 for a car which was valued bottom book Glass's Guide at 3900. Whenn I travelled the 60 miles to have the car assessed I received an offer of £3000. This lower offer was apparently due to the paintwork which had to be done. When I pointed out I had filled in and declared every blemish I was told that it was only a computer program and I had to expect a lower o ...

Travelled quite some distance to the nearest outlet to sell my vehicle for what they offered on the Internet.
The assessor looked at the vehicle and said it was as described however they did not want 4x4's as they couldn't sell. The offer was almost half of the original quote on the Internet.
Stay away from these...nothing more than your local garage would offer.

Barter with We Buy Any Car! If you know the price your car is worth (try parkers.co.uk), or how much you could sell it for somewhere else tell them. If you don't get what you want then tell them what your lowest price is.
If you want to get the best price for your car don't go to them. It seems obvious, but they are a business and want to buy your car to make a profit so probably won't offer you what you're hoping for. They seem to check the bodywork of the cars thoroughly, noticing every small ...

Very good if you are not too fussy about price. I have just retired and wanted a quick sale and would recommend the Plymouth branch if this is what you want.

www.webuyanycar.com is genuine. Was suspicious right up to meeting the representative, then immediately put at ease. Understandably low prices, these guys are in this to make money. Believe me if I could sell my car privately I wouldn't be interested in this service. They are very very thorough and news of outstanding finance, insurance write offs etc. on cars owned by the unsuspecting can lead to disgruntled customers. While waiting for my invoice I was treated to a few horror stories I can tel ...

I wouldn't recommend webuyanycar.com to anyone. My online valuation was for £2375 in the end I got a desultory offer of £1400 tops plus a load of old blarney about why my car wasnt worth the money. I sold it on Auto Trader for 1900 but I had plenty of interest and could quite feasibly have got more if I could have been bothered to show it to other potential buyers.

Overall I feel the outcome of everyones experience is obviously different, but on my encounter there I certainly did not enjoy it. In fact I felt I needed to write this review in order to give a broader view on the company as a customer alongside the mandatory point that this company actually exists!

I went in the expectation that We Buy Any Car could be untrustworthy but they were as good as their word. They merely asked if I had sorted a new car, which I said I had, and no more was said! The price was reduced by only 50 for a dent that I had not seen which seemed very fair. Talking to the staff at the Rochdale site whilst they were printing my invoice, they said the main problems occur when people don't use the damage section of the website, as the offer is then based on an A1 condition ca ...

I used www.webuyanycar.com to sell on my old Vectra when I wanted to upgrade to a BMW. I also advertised on Autotrader just as a backup, but it was through We Buy Any Car that I finally sold my Vauxhall (and sold it to the company webuyanycar.com).
I also like the online valuation option they give. It can't be perfect, but it's a start point which is always welcome.
