i thought i would write this review as although i really do think the Vax VZL6015 Mach 5 is one of the best hoovers i have ever bought especially with 3 dogs and one being a border collie with a long coat there a few things that the description does not mention. 1: when delivered it is delivered in bits for you to build which was a bit of shock 2: im sure the description didnt mention that the handle slides back into the handle as part of the features which leaves it feeling a little unsteady at times and with my husband he ends up pushing it in. apart from that its a great hoover i got it for a great price through VAX after lots of research of the different brands of VAX which was a little confusing. the tools are excellent and the rotating brush is excellent for collecting dog hair. This hoover has never fallen over on us as it is a little heavy. I had a dyson previously which only lasted 5 years even after getting it service and with the extra warranty thought this was a great buy

Love the Vax VZL6015 Mach 5 hoover it sucks so much dirt and dust out of carpets. The handy adjustable height handle is great when in use and makes easier to store. My only gripe is that it is bit on the heavy side.

Worst cleaner I have owned in 40 years. Falls over suddenly & heavily. Has smashed items, chipped wooden floor & injured myself & pets, glad I have no small children.

Vax helpline suggests that 2 people should opreate it, yes, really!

Vax VZL6015 Mach 5 has Good suction, especially as having two hairy dogs so hence lots dog hairs, nocomplaints on suction at all.

The Vax VZL6015 Mach 5 is probably the best vacuum cleaner I have had, generally happy with it. Has extreme suction, easy to keep clean never have to replace filters, the attachments for the hose spins with amazing speed and is easy to clean, lots of see through parts that let you see if there is blockages (not had one). 6 year guarantee. web site is full of useful vids, and spare parts. I didn't mind this hoover to begin with, picked up alot of stuff but when using the hose it always falls.
It's so heavy I hardly take it upstairs to hoover!
Lastly just been totally unhappy with the guarantee, was using it tonight and the brush bar started making quite a noise, called helpdesk, said it sounds faulty and I'll need to buy a new part as it's classed as general wear and tear....6 months old in an average 3 bed house, don't expect things to need replacing after 6 months. This Vax VZL6015 Mach 5 is by far the best upright hoover i have ever owned. It is extremely powerful and picks up everything. I admit it is a bit heavy, but i'm willing to put up with that for a completely pet hair free home. 6 year guatantee is an absolute bonus. also price was fantastic.

Had a Dyson which did everything I wanted from it, but no sooner than the warranty ran out the faults started, this then resulted in high cost of repairs. So the Vax VZL6015 Mach 5 with a 6 year warranty looked just the job.......but that's where the good points end as there are only so many times you can put up with getting cracked on your legs when you use the tools as the thing falls over at the slightest movement. I'm sure if I had the time or the inclination I could find more bad points. Normally I wouldn't dream of bothering to write my opinion of something on a reveiw site but I am so sick of this Vax VZL6015 Mach 5 hoover and incensed that someone has trialled it and thought if fit for human use that I felt I had to warn others. This vax VZL6015 Mach 5 is the best of all the vacuum cleaners i have had.
Including the dyson animal, I have three persian cats there hair really sticks to the carpets . There hair is so soft it is as if you had rubbed cotten wool into the carpet.
But it got it all out that was once i had worked out the different hights settings for different carpets .It has not fallen over yet and I have used all the tools.I cannot rate this machine highly enough .

Bought this Vax VZL6015 Mach 5 hoover to replace my ageing dyson DC01. Absolutely stunned by the amount of dust and dirt it picked up, bearing in mind i had hoovered only a few days previously.

Easy to assemble from the box, and adjustable height of the mach 5's handle makes it far less back breaking than non adjusting models.

The small brush 'turbo' tool absolutely brilliant for sofa's and curtains.

I purchased the unit from Argos for £119.98. It replaced the Vax orange 6131 wet and dry cleaner. Unit seems very solidly built and sturdy, but relatively heavy compared to other upright bagless cleaners. It took about 15 minutes to assemble the Mach 6 straight out of the box, and the instructions were clear. I have always had dysons, but after the poor servicce i received from dyson, i decided to buy this Vax VZL6015 Mach 5. I hoovered the rug in my front room and felt sick by the amount of dust and dirt that was lifted off - what our 6 MONTH old dyson would not pick up. Superb hoover, a little on the heavy side which is a pain when carrying upstairs but i'll never buy another dyson again. six year guarantee is a big plus too!

I am very pleased with the purchase of my Vax VZL6015 Mach 5, will never buy a Dyson again! Good Suction, vacuum does have weight but this means it wont topple over when you are using the tools, packed with features for the money.

I didn't like this hoover one bit. I much prefer Dyson hoovers. I thought Dysons were quite heavy, but nothing compared to the mach 5. I knew when I'd used it, it's hard work. The extension hose also kept popping out of the hole, so every now and again suction was lost. It was very cumbersome. Every time i tried to use the extension hose, even to do under the settee, the hoover fell over.
