Received my Merrell Moab GTX Shoes the Next Day via UPS after placing my order online at 11.40 the previous morning. Very impressed with delivery service. When i received the shoes i found them to be packaged well and in their original box with a dispatch note. There was no damage to box which is good. The shoes themselves are excellent and i have taken them up into the lakeland fells almost every weekend since. The Gore Tex liner is still performing and i dont find the shoes... (read more)

I ordered a pair of Merrell shoes from Fitnessfirst only to find that they were the wrong size when they arrived. I quickly looked up their returns policy which described a returns form included in the packaging, which was no where to be found. Many emails and phones calls later still no response at all from Fitnessfirst. I ordered a pair of Merrels on Jul 5th, package that was delivered home in Belgium on Jul 7th was not the type of Merrell I ordered. Wrote immediately an email to report the wrong delivery and they asked to return the package and they would send the correct one, once goods returned. Why did they take my order in the first place? My emails have come back to my inbox saying 'non-delivery'. So was their 'mega clearance' sale just a ploy to make money from the unsuspecting public? I live in Cyprus and ordered a pair of Birkenstocks on June 24 to be delivered to my sister in the UK. Shoes arrived promptly and I was really pleased with the fit. But they were describred as being waterproof, but after first time of wearing they definately was not waterproof. My partner placed an order for a pair of trainers 10 days ago the money has been taken from his account but not recieved the goods!! Don't be fooled by the pretty website. It is a con. Check out the positive reviews below. Most are so similar that they are obviously submitted by the company themselves.
I will not use this company again! Utterly useless!

They took my money at the time of the order.
A few days later I received an email saying that was a stock error and that they would process a refund.
I am still waiting for a refund after several weeks and a few emails from me to them requesting status.
So... I didn't get the shoes I ordered and now they are withholding my money.
The web site looks glossy, and the deals look like good value, but not if they are simply scamming your contact...

On 28/03/11 I was sent an email to say there was an error with the stock and actually the item I had ordered was out of stock, a refund would be arranged back to my credit card. After three weeks and no sandals I finally managed to make contact and was told they had not received them, I only have their word for this as they were meticulously packaged and addressed and I have proof of postage but the company refuses to take any action or answer my emails. The service is excellent. I only placed my order at midday the day before and I have just recieved them, at 10am. You can't get better than that. I have ordered from Fitness Footwear before and would so reccommend them and use them again. The Sketchers are brilliant. This is my second pair and love them. The price was amazing too. They are built to my shape i.e. wider than average. The heel fit is not secure for me unless I take good care to lace firmly. Fitnessfootwear does not provide free returns, so with tracking, delivery was a whopping £11.00. The post office suggested that I contact fitnessfootwear and ask that they send me a return postage form. Many other mail order companies provide this service as standard.

In the same boat as you and as frustrating as it is they say what goes around comes around and this is certainly the case for Fitness Footwear. Although their customers are now out of pocket it's good to know they now wont contiune to rip people off. Speak to your bank or credit card company you will have more joy speaking with them.
