I shoot it with the open sights, and right out of the box could see this would become a great shooter. I've shot a few different pellets from it and so far seems to shoot Crosman Premier Wadcutters the best. To me this is a great air rifle for the money.

I had a Brazilian made Winchester 800x rifle for about 1 year, and i'm quite happy with it. Out of the box the rifle did not shot good. The first bad things i noticed was the HEAVY 14lbs (yes, 14 lbs) trigger pull and the twang of the mainspring. After about 200 shots i got it returned to the manufacturer (here in Brasil the manufacturer is the CBC - Magtec in us market) for solving the spring and trigger issues. 2 weeks later i got it returned, and some things were a bit better. No spring t ...

Overall, I've had 3 Turkish Winchester 800X's over the course of about a year. I had bought the first rifle on Pyramydair.com for $95. If you ever get the chance, make sure to check this place out because it is an incredible air rifle retail store and a great place to keep up with and purchase air rifles. The first gun's spring went bad after about two months use. Since it had Daisy's 1 year insurance on it, I was able to send it back to Daisy and get a replacement. This was also the case f ...

I have had the Winchester 800X gun now for 2 summers. I bought it last year, but I did not shoot it that much then. At the time I was not very happy with it, but after putting around 500 rounds or so in it, and learning to correctly shoot a springer air-rifle, I found the rifle to be very accurate with the right pellets and right correct holding of the air rifle. I use Gamo Hunter pellets. I find those the most accurate in the domed style of pellet head. I also like to use Diablo Basic Line ...

Don't be swooed into buying one of these because of others incomplete testing. Spend your money in a wiser manner. Perhaps on a GAMO. You won't regret it.

I have been wanting a decent spring piston rifle for a while yet was a little apprehensive about spending a lot money. I had been eyeballing this lone Winchester 800x .177 spring piston air rifle at a local department for some time. It looked like a nice rifle but I was not willing to fork out $119.00 for it. Last week I noticed it was on clearance and marked at $79 so I decided I would buy it. At the register they knocked off another ten bucks so with tax and a tin of pellets I was out the doo ...

I live by the woods and there are many squirrels, birds and other varments. I love to hunt and I've looked for a good air gun that wasn't to much money and now my looking is done needless to say there are a lot less squirrels in my yard. It is great to take the crows out of the tops of the trees at 25 to 40 yards.

I bought it in K-Mart for $89 with out scope. 0.177 cal. Made in Turkey. Was there probably for at least one year. I was still waiting for discount almost two months. Did not happen so I got it. You could say that its quality is somehow better than Daisy Powerline also made in Turkey. Even without scope I was able to shoot from 20 yards into 2.5 inch circle. Since I had one spare scope I put it on now even better. For money I paid it is a very good deal. I took it apart as I usually do bolts ...

My DAISY Winchester 800X Rifle is used to shoot squirrels raiding bird feeders. The rifle is excellent for stationary targets, but, unfortunately squirrels move and are very cautious about being shot. By the time I have squeezed the trigger to the point the gun fires, the squirrel has moved just enough to require re-aiming and/or has left the premises. The squirrels are well aware they are being shot at and therefore quite alert at the slightest movement or sound, such as the cocking of the t ...

I have the Brazilian Winchester 800X Model and in spite of the fact that some have found it wanting I find it very reliable. It is .177, but even that small calibre will take pigeons and the like in this rifle. I find that if you hold it firmly (but not rigidly) and follow through with the kick it will pretty much be a nail driver for you. I sighted mine in at twenty yards (about all I'd go for in this caliber for a pest kill) and it will lay the Gamo domed 8.3 grain pellets home in the 10 ri ...

This rifle is great if you have a stationary target and ample time to aim, take a deep breath, and carefully squeeze the trigger. Unfortunately, the squirrels that raid my bird feeders are aware of this too. I have a sunroom where I can enjoy watching the birds at the feeders. The squirrels can empty the feeders in short order if not eliminated or frightened away. Usually, its the latter. They and I both know I only get one shot before they are out of sight. And when I say squeeze the trigg ...

I have had both the Turkish and Brazilian Daisy Winchester 800X model. I prefer the Brazilian model the trigger pull is superior and it is much more accurate than the Turkish model.

This is the Hatsan model 55 Turkish made rifle. And is their newest made Winchester 800X. The rifle has easy to see and use fiber optic sights. The stock is a beautiful piece of turkish black walnut, and has the new adjustable trigger. I really like this turkish made 800X. Accuracy is right on par as with a new spring piston airrifle. Found the Gamo Hunter's shoot the best. Even though the fiberoptic sights are great, I'm mounting a scope for greater accuracy. As the break in period continues I ...

I have shot close to 800 shots through my Winchester 800x and I love it. I revamped the trigger and now it is awesome. It is very accurate and fun to shoot. It is not that hard to cock. It shoots as good as my friends more expensive rifles. It can't be beat for the money. It could use a scope stop or mounting rail to keep the scope from moving.

For the sake of better information, I'm rewriting a new review on the Winchester 800x. My first review of this rifle was based on my then first experience of shooting air rifles. And now after months of shooting, gaining some better experience, and understanding more about the rifle I had in my hands, I owe a right kind of review on this gun. After closer to a 1000 shots, and much of the rifle breaking in, along with the trigger getting a little better to pull. I also mounted the excellen ...

I have the Brazilian made Daisy Winchester 800X. To me this rifle is a very rugged built gun, so if all you want is something to beat the bush with and make a respectable shot within 25 yards and don't mind toten a weighty airgun around the woods then I'd guess this guns for you. It has excessive barrel droop bottomed the 4X32 tasco right out an still shot about an inch low at 20 yards. I've practiced very much on my hold and follow through, still this rifle is hold sensitive, it does take a bi ...
