    Bad Points: Replacement toners and drums are stupidly expensive - it costs slightly more to by a new machine than a new one of both! But there are 'fixes' on the net to reset the drum etc. We always use original brother toners so you can get refills cheaper. Inside of the printer gets pretty messy with toner, but ours do get a hammering.


    General comments: We've replaced our HP office desk printers with this one across the board. Follow the simple setup and it runs - no messing about, no messages popping up on the screen demanding attention - it just prints black and white reliably, duplexing if necessary.
    A good reliable simple to use black and white laser printer for home or office - perhaps not the cheapest per page, but dependable.
