I joined the site last week, since then I have emailed and tried to have conversations with several local people but usually most will reply to you either just once or simply don't reply. Smooch is a good dating site considering its free.They now have the option of the hidden phone contacts with another member without giving out your real number. It's just a shame about the majority of its members, so many married men on site. It's very well laid out with lots of options, nice to be able to see who has viewed your profile. Its full of married me pretending to be single. If youre a man beware of the ladies on this site as they're not exactly what they seem. I joined and within 1 hour had a lady email me with an invite to view her private pictures even though I had not requested to see them. She had a very minimal profile but I thought OK what the heck and she seemed from the photo's to be a reasonably attractive lady in her mid 50's. We started chatting online and seemed to get on okay. Ok so I've read the other reviews and thought I would give my opinion. This is a free dating website and you get what all free dating websites give you..... a big bunch of weirdos! That said as long as you are sensible and ignore the weirdo e-mails then it's fine. I met my current partner on this site and we are now living together. i reccomend the pay sites instead. As people will be paying for it, they are more likely to send and recieve e-mails so they can get their moneys worth. “Naughty Smooch” must be the worse site ever; I can’t believe I actually paid good money to use it. It’s that bad I have just written and sent an email to its parent company “Global Personal”. The last straw was when I had to phone to cancel the membership, and you can only do that between Monday and Friday office hours. After phoning and telling them that I wanted to end my membership, I then got a message advising me that they have given me two extra weeks and that I had to phone again to cancel the membership. This is apart from all the fake profiles, the lack of support and customer care is unbelievable………

One of the better free dating sites. Not exceptional, but they're all pretty much the same aren't they. There were loads of members and I've had a few dates with what were mostly nice people. Nothing's come of them, but I can't blame the site for that. They have a lot of ads for other dating sites, so if you're not sure what sites to visit this could be a good gateway. I was on smooch for a few months they keep changing the rules, they charge you for credits for silly things like to see who thinks you are smoochable but if you don't use the credits that YOU PAID FOR in two or three weeks they just take them back without giving you a refund they are constantly altering what you say without warning they just delete words or numbers addresses or anything they fancy

Too many obviously fake profiles. The site seems to think that people cannot spell so the fakes ones are littered with spelling mistakes...other giveaways are when someone you contact does not even read your message despite being on line for days on end. Totally agree! This site has many fake profiles and I suspect that the admin staff are working fulltime in sending out fake flirts and emails because when you reply to them there is no response. After a couple of weeks I decided to delete my photos and profile but for weeks afterwards, I was getting even more flirts from supposed admirers. It took me a lot of hassle to remove my details from this site, then I was getting emails from other sites that I had never heard off, obviously Smmoch.com had given my profile to other date sites, which if you read in the T%Cs, they say that they can do and you have to write to each individual site to tell them to remove your details. What a lot of hassle for nothing. - Smooch.com is a 'Totally Free' Site but as they say, nothing is for free and they make money from advertising hits and selling your details. Stay well clear of this site and probably most other dating sites because many of them are interlinked and steal, borrow or sell profiles to each other.

Terrible -- I was on this site for about a month and I received no messages whatsoever despite sending loads. What really sickens me is that on this supposedly 'free' site you can bid to have your picture higher than all the other people. Of course, if you don't have the winning bid, unlike a real auction, they STILL TAKE YOUR MONEY, but they give you a pathetic position on the picture board!!
Also this site claims to be 'free', but every time you do almost anything, you get a nice popup...

it's a free site so you get what you pay for! It's easy to join and it tends to attract people that are serial daters (they'll be on a half dozen other free sites, wanting an affair, sad ,lonely it's like a slightly tackier plenty of fish with pretty well the same members.
If you're looking for people that are more serious you'll probably need to join a subscription site.
You can usually tell the quality sites by the profiles as they don't tend to have to give warnings about cyber sex,...

Just recently ended my membership due to too many timewasters who pose as being single, genuine and looking for something longterm! However, I did chat to some nice people but more of the other sort on here! I would say this is the best site I have tried and FREE too! very easy to get around but unfortunately it's been spoilt by having to pay to see Smooch's and who's looked at me? my critisism would be 'if they keep looking but don't write, then they're not interested anyway.

Since smooch.com has changed the way they want people to take part in the site, it has become more of a pay for this, pay for that site. I went away this weekend and came back to a site full of complications. They now want me to pay to see pictures. They also expect me now to pay to see who has viewed my profile. What next?
I will no longer go on the site even though i did get a great date from it a few months back. Smooch.com need to get their act together and decided whether they want...

Thought it was a good site. Not many good points when you are taken off the site without being able to defend your self. Someone can upset you with what they write if you retaliate some people get the hump and you are removed from site without being able to defend yourself

It should take into consideration the other party's side of the dispute, there are things like false representation, like saying you are medium when you are verging on the scale of obesity, fairs fair and this should be taken into consideration at all levels. I believe it is false and misleading saying you are single when you are in fact married or in a relationship. (read more)

smooch is sexist site as i complained about abuse by 2 seperate women on several occasions and i ended up with them removing my profile. got a friend to check on both abusers profiles and they're both still active.
<br/>no reason given for my removal nor reply to my complaint about being removed. i had also just paid £10 for credits ! coincidence or what as no refund?
