Good Points: Great views! Living with Scandinavian style in a modern home away from home. Lovely sauna :)

Bad Points: If you are looking for something else than a genuine nature experience then I would think that Isosyte might not be
the place for you ( very little or no night life at all)

General comments: We are a family of five and we just got back from Isosyte where we have spent the most joyous five days ever! We rented our apartment through internet (www.syote.net ->accommodation
The apartment is located on the top of the Isosy fell right below the Isosy Hotel. The view from our apartment over the fell area was awesome!

You are able to get to the slopes right from the front door of the apartment. There is a little walk through a wooded area located in between the apartment and the slopes (about 50 meters).

If you are a beginner on skies you may find it more practical to book accommodation somewhere else than on the top of the fell (for instance if you'd like to have an easy access to the ski school etc.) but if you are even somewhat experienced skier I would definitely recommend a stay on the top!

(By the way, do not spend your money on travel agencies. We booked our flights to the city of Oulu, rented a car and drove to Pudasjrvi / Isosyte. Isosyte is about 2 -2,5 hours drive from the city of Oulu. The roads are in good condition all the way to the Isosyte just remeber to be alert due the reindeers while driving!)
