I was shocked at how much telescope you get for your money! A high quality telescope and far from flimsy! Excellent build quality although the tripod could be just a little sturdier. Other than that.. I am VERY happy with my purchase! (read more)

After purchasing it, it did take a while to set up, but nothing at all too hard. The spotter was a bit hard to get used to at first but it is easily alligned in the day time and is then very useful for picking out stars and planets. Soon managed to get views of Jupiters moons and some fantastic views of our own moon. I recommend purchasing a 2x Barlow lense to get better views of Jupiter and some real fine detail of the moon. I brought this Celestron AstroMaster 130 EQ telescope.. thinking it would be great, but it wasn't. Complicated to set up, bulky, awkward to use, kids couldn't use it at all. Certainly not simple. (read more)
