I pottered about on ponies as a child and never had riding lessons so I decided it was about time I did!

I scoured the area for a suitable riding establishment, discovered Wendlebury Gate Stables and quite frankly have never looked back. The instruction given during my lessons was, and is excellent and I rapidly gained confidence as a rider. I have subsequently competed at both Preliminary and Novice level dressage competitions and can boast to winning a few coveted rosettes.

I have been riding at Wendlebury Gate Stables for the past 7 months. I had a bad fall from my own horse, I had lost my confidence.
Hazel and her team have provided a friendly, welcoming and highly professional service that has supported me in regaining my confidence. The horses are well schooled and are clearly well looked after, loved and cared for.
It is also very useful that there is a very well stocked tack shop on site (for those who forget their gloves!)

I have been riding here for the last two years as an adult although I learnt to ride here many moons ago as a child. Staff are friendly and very knowledgable and the horses are always beautifully turned out.

When I moved away from the area I decided to drive up every fortnight for a lesson as I didn't find anywhere else that matched Wendlebury Gate Stables in my area. (read more)

My four daughters ride, and I have tried several riding stables in Oxfordshire. In other stables, I used to be disappointed either with the horses' behaviour and level of training, or with the staff's attitude to people, and mostly with both. Since joining Wendlebury, I've never looked back. The horses are safe and well trained, and the tutors are excellent and very friendly. After moving away from that stables i have found a lovely stables with a open stable so you can see them all,i have found i hated the stables as they taught me nothing. i would not recommend this to a friend (apart from my friend who is big and already rides there) (read more)
