Terrible company, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

We are pursuing legal action against this company, read below for our recent letter to them.

Dear Sir,

We have had serious issues with your company for the last few months when you have been unable to keep your server infrastructure up and available for long periods at a time. Your servers are unreliable and the downtime exceeds 20%+ compared to the 99.9% uptime you advertise on your website and SLA.

Whats worse you have managed to lose ALL OF THE DATA held on our servers and have just informed us that it is all lost and that there are no backups without even an apology. You never did offer apologies for downtime but this is breathtaking in the extreme.

THIS IS CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE AND A HUGE BREACH OF YOUR CONTRACT AND OBLIGATIONS. We actually suspect that you have sold our data to a competitor or the subjects of our clients investigations.

Consider this as an official notice of legal action against your company. Unless our data is restored to us by Monday we will immediately commence legal action against your company in the Panamanian courts.

We will also hire a private investigation company to investigate your company, directors, officers and operation in order to assist in bringing criminal charges against you as well as to provide material to post on the website we are going to build about your company.

We will be launching a website covering the key failures of your company and the individuals concerned and make sure that others know what your comany is really like and how little you really care about your clients, believing perhaps that because you are in Panama this gives you immunity from any consequences. I am here to tell you it doesnt.

To give you an idea of the seriousness of this issue I will cut and past an excert from one of our clients emails, who had data stored on your server :

"I put 6 months into building a dataset on this desktop only to learn it has been lost by you and your subcontractors/agents. I am not able to recreate this data as the sources were only available to me at a moment in time.

I repeat, I had developed a dataset over 6 months and it was hosted on this desktop. This represented the key data in two major fraud investigations - one is worth US$260,000 in a success fee to my firm; the other is worth US$480,000 to a client with a US$120,000 success fee payable to my firm.

We will be taking legal action against your company as well as investigative and legal action against the hosting company concerned in an attempt to retrieve our data."

This particular client is one of London's most well known and largest investigation and legal companies.

Restore our data to us if you wish to avoid action that will certainly bankrupt your company and leave your personal reputations in pieces.

You cannot hide behind a domain name and a Panama corporation. We will identify the individuals concerned in this and they will be punished. Panama is an amazingly corupt place and we will discover everything we need to know about you and your corporate set up during the course of our investigations.

We will be writing to all of the organisations and associations of which you are a member and also be writing to the owner of each and every website hosted on your datacentres in order to learn if any of them have similar complaints.

You will feel the repercussions of your inept, unreliable and clearly negligent service.

I repeat, restore our data to us by Monday in order to lessen these repercussions against you.

For the past six months, I have been hosting with Cybercast International and my experience is very sad. First, their server is very, very, slow. I have a similar website hosted by a company in Asia and that server is many times faster than that of Cybercast, although Panama is closer to Canada, where I live, than Asia. Second, the server of Cybercast is down frequently, and you often find this out when you try to access your site--they seldom give advance notice. Third, Cybercast seldom answers ...

Cyber Cast Intl Site timeouts for a week now. Wretched customer service. Can't even download all my files to switch sites. Customer service says everything is great! What a joke.

I have been using Cybercast International for approximately three months now, and I have since regretted switching to them. The server is down most of the time. Beginning on Tuesday night, it had been down for almost a full day. For a brief period last night, it was up and running. As I am writing you this, at 635 A.M. EDT, May 15, 2009, it down again.

Cyber Cast Intl is reasonably priced, however, their service is absolutely terrible. downtime is terrible. Lost a total of 5 full days in less than two months.Last week my site was down for 12 hours in one day.this week my site is down again 6 hours and counting now.I'm going elsewhere

Furious about their service!

I had two domains hosted at offshore-web-hosts. After only hosting for less than a month, the admin told me one of my sites is under DDOS attack, and then shut down that hosting plan. I asked for some log files or some details about what happened, but they rejected and told me that they cancelled my account already. It's ridiculous to cancel my account without any solid reason.

Panama based solutions, good connectivity to the US, great price and support
My site is hosted at cyber cast for a few months now. So far the support is awesome assisting me with my special requirements. I like the speed to the US just a few hops from other US servers.

Good products for a good price (the VPS), but the site was extremely often down or not reachable (VPS monitored over 10 days, availability only 40%!!!!). The technical staff was not able to solve a simple Linux problem by installing a kernel module over 5 weeks after the module disappeared "by ghost hand" over night, they must re-install the complete VPS instead of simply add the module to the kernel...
