Obviously very pleased with the speed of the transfer - I bank with Standard Bank so I think it's pretty much instant once First Contact receive the order (I think their South African account is Standard Bank). Made a transfer, paying by bank transfer as I haven't been able to use to my uk debit card after changing the recorded address to a foreign one. As it was payment by transfer my rate wasn't booked in. The rate I received was less then the amount initially quoted even though in the the 2 days since i booked the payment rate actually increased!!! makes no sense whatsoever. I intend to report to the financial ombudsman in Australia, avoid. (read more)

I requested a service door to door to send a suitcase from England to Venezuela. When the suitcase arrived Venezuelan port, the agents that received it informed us they do not provide door to door so we had to pick it up in the port. The fee is low (plus they give you a free transfer on your birthday!), the exchange rate is good. The service is quick and reliable. They are a trustworthy company. Any interaction with staff is polite and professional. Only little downside is they give the overseas bank account details in the UK format, which is confusing when entering it into the payment form for overseas bank, but this is a minor thing.
