“Vortex 370 RC helicopter”

I opened the box to find the body detached from the main chassis and spent an hour in vain trying to reattach it as it is the most pathetic arrangement ever invented. Whilst trying to attach the body I put the battery on charge and tried again in vain to fit 8 new Duracell AA batteries into the transmitter, because the battery carrier was faulty at one end which meant the last battery didn't fit. Having repaired the carrier, it then would not fit into the transmitter body far enough to be able to fit the battery cover. By this time I am not terribly impressed but carried on and fitted the rechargeable battery between the skids, connected up and switched on. The instructions tell you to wait for a solid green light on the receiver but all I could get was a flashing, alternating red/green led. No matter what control switch I twiddled I could get no sign of life from the thing and after about ten minutes I was about to give up when the thing suddenly struck up and shot up in the air, flipped over and smashed a blade on the top rotor! Luckily two spare pairs of rotor blades are included in the box, and the Allen key tool required. I set about replacing the broken blade. Would you believe the Allen key was not properly formed on the long end and would not fit the machine screw! After changing the rotor blade I went to the centre of our lawn on a perfect calm day to try again. Again I could get no response from any of the controls and was ready to give up when one of the servo motors started to respond. After moving one of the trim controls to it's extreme I got the blades to turn. I slowly increased the rotor speed and before it took off it was spinning around like a dying fly. I tried to adjust the trim but before I could make any sense of the controls it took off and crashed into the grass and smashed two more blades! I don't have enough spare blades to try again, even if I wanted to and at £7.99 plus p.&p. a go, I don't intend to. Altogether the whole package is a cheap "made in China " pile of pooh!

“Slow delivery”

Placed order for an in stock item and waited and waited. 1 week later, a phone call to say its not in stock and they dont know when it will be. As this was a christmas present for my son I agreed to another colour. I am still awaiting a confirmation email to say that this has been dispatched. Christmas is now 5 days away. Ive a feeling he wont have a big present to unwrap. Very diasapointed.

“F14 model jet plane”

My wife and kids brought me my first plane for my birthday at the end of August on opening the package there was no instructions my son phone Nitrotek and was told he would need to download the manual from the website. There was no manual on the website so I had to start an enquiry with customer services. Once I had the manual it was clear that the battery charger sent was the wrong one. Nitrotek could not send me the correct battery charger because they were out of stock so sent me a link to eBay. I now have to return the wrong charger they sent at my own expense. It is now the end of September and still can fly the plane as I am awaiting delivery of the charger. All in all a shocking service from this company and I would not recommend them

“Misleading advertisement and poor customer service”

Not as good as the others are saying. From my experience, their lowest price guaranteed promise is a lie. I tried to purchase a Heng long M41A3 tank from them listed as £79.99 and found it sold on another website for £64.99. I called Nitrotek for a price match but was told that they cannot match it because the other website is a trade seller who buys from them (Really?) Nitrotek said they will have to contact the other website first to find out why they are selling the same tank cheaper (WHAT?) This makes me feel that instead of lowering their price to be more competitive, they are trying to price fixing the market?? I do not think this is an ethical business practice! The Customer service staff I spoke to was John (he was polite but not very much help in sorting out this matter) and I raised a ticket for this as well which was not answered. Very disappointed shopping experience with Nitrotek, I expected much more from this well respected online seller.

“Have spent over”

I have spent over 500 pounds now with nitrotek got a small rc and not long got a yama buggy had problems 1 st day it came.couldnt get any help from them,and now orderd a carbon firbe shell and send a road runner and trying to sort it out just seems a nightmare.as they don't want to talk on the phone about problems just want your money,let's see what happens

“Sub standard service”

Between my brother and law and myself we purchased 3 R/c for our sons for Christmas 2013. By lunchtime Christmas Day all three had damaged, broken front parts to them non had been driven half as viigerously as Nitrotek has shown in there video. Then came the after sales.... Passed from Pillar to post. E mailed the company 27th December 2013 to complain, still to this date 6/1/14 no further forward. 3 kids waiting to play with £240.00 worth of cars still not working. I was force to have to contact them today 6/1/14 to order replacement parts at my further expense to be told, I'm sorry we don't stock them, have you tried e bay?, at this point in utter amazement I hung up. Give this company a wide birth , I like others read reviews whom some had a good experience but if anything goes wrong and you require the after sales you'll end up frustrated and annoyed with a product like mine, sitting on my fridge in its box with the thought of trailing through e bay looking for parts.....

“waiting for 9 days!”

Order 80001405 - I ordered a Pershing tank for my son on Friday 13th Dec 2013, today is 22 Dec and we still have not received it! I am still hoping that I'll have it for Christmas for my son. We have emailed support twice and tried phoning a number of times and just get engaged reply! If anyone from Nitrotek is reading this please email me ASAP and let me know what's going on.

“after sales service starting 12/10/13”

After ordering a few items from nitrotek for the bullet eg body shell and a couple of smaller items.I waited for them to arrive but after a reasonable length of time the items still not arrived sent in many tickets as requested to find out what was going on after being told to check with post office which was done.I was told replacement items would be sent.I was sent a report by sean it said the items had been returned to nitrotek weeks before and was asked if I had received the replace items that was on 13/11/13 after contacting them again I have still not received it 27/11/13 I find that I have had a very poor service and wont be using them again.ok I can do nothing about the money I paid out as its gone past the time limit to complain to paypal

“Not able to reach swedish support/swedish representative”

I have tried to reach my swedish store (Nitrotek.se) on email and phone when my son had an accident with his remote and we needed spare parts. No answer to emails and no answer on phonecalls. Terrible (non-excisting) support! The product itself is good. Customer service - non-excisting!

“very very agravating”

the products are a lot cheaper very happy with the delivery options but it took several attempts to try and register a account i then gave up due to the hyperlink submit button not doing anything i then tried to buy as a customer which also took me some time to git to work after i finally got to check out i had to go though hell on earth to spend my own money any would of thought i was robbing the bank

“Customer service lets the company down.”

I purchased the RC plane at the weekend after I saw they were having a 15% OFF weekend sale. At checkout I must have missed the discount code box, so discount wasn't registered. Immediately after checkout, I realised I'd missed it, and I emailed the company to tell them what happened and if they could just kindly add the code for me. This was saturday evening. I received the reply midday Monday, saying "Unfortunately the 15WEEKEND offer has now expired and we are unable to ad this post purchase". I think this was pretty unreasonable to be honest. It's certainly a way to stop customers from returning. Bad business. I also found annoying, the 'Ticket' email service. After my email to them, and before their response, I received about 8 duplicate emails saying my ticket had been received. Just annoying. So after their response I said, ok, well I'd like to cancel my order as I'd budgeted for the weekend discount from their website. I received no response, and the next day the plane arrived at my door! I decided to take the order as it would only cost me money to return it, so I thought ok, let's just forget about all the issues and enjoy this plane. I've still not received any email response 3 days later. They just ignored my cancellation and took my money. The plane arrived, with a part missing. I'm in the process of emailing them to get them to send the missing part. It's anyone's guess if they'll do so, or even reply...maybe they'll try charging me, who knows. I'll also ask again if they'd like to do the right thing and keep me as a customer and give me the 15% discount I deserve too ;) Go elsewhere.

“Ordered product for a Christmas present on the 23rd of...”

Ordered product for a Christmas present on the 23rd of November only to find on Christmas day that it was broken. There was no one available at nitrotek until the 4th of Jan and even then it took another week to get a response out of them and that was quite negative. Good on delivery time, awful on customer service on item that is not fit for purpose.

Hi, this varies, from 48hrs to 2 weeks, depending on stock availability. Their site usually tells you availability, but is not always 100% accurate.

I have a Nitrotek ER61 2.4ghz receiver but no transmitter. Is it possible to bind this to a Planet or Saturn transmitter? I do have a bind plug. Help please.

I,am not all that experienced regarding transmitters / receivers however providing they are on the same frequency I think they should work. best to get the opinion of an expert
