Very bad service waited a month for the kit I order checked on order weekly kept getting excuse after excuse saying it will be shipped out the next day still have received when in fact they didn't have the kit at all finally after I filed a complain with PayPal I was issued a refund. Do not waste your time and money on this online retailer. I ordered (via the internet) five 1/25th scale model car kits on January 13, 2016. I finally got them on February 16th. This was after five (5) phone calls to "Customer Service" and the same reply each time--"I am waiting on one model coming in from our branch in California". I wished I had read the reviews before I placed my order. Their score as of this review is 2 out of 5. I tried to get these items at other locations but most were out of stock. This company indicated that the items would ship in just a few days, their pricing was comparable to others so I decided to order I ordered some items for my train layout. Like many others, my card was charged right away, the status never changed. I reached someone from customer service who assured me all was in stock and would be going out but probably after the weekend as they are closed on Friday. “I dont see what everyone is complaining about.”

I've been using internethobbies for years. I've never had any serious problems with them other than slow return time for processing orders. I currently have an order I placed on the 23rd awaiting shipment, but it's typical for them. My account has not been charged and I haven't had problems with excess charges before. For the amount of selection they have, I can wait a little while for my orders to ship. I think most people like to complain because they're used to bigger chains shipping out… Read Full Review

This is the 3rd time I had issues with Internethobbie.com.But the last one was the worst. I ordered two items from there liquidation sale a pop up offer for 10% off came up during my check out and I had to choose yes or no and it had a count down .I chose yes and the discount was applied and I submited my order and I was sent an email confermation. Several months ago I ordered two models. One was sent, the other was on 'back order'. I have been going back and forth with them about either getting a credit to the card I used to pay for it or the model. All I get in return is an email saying call the customer service line during these hours. I work during those hours, so I can't call. I can't seem to get through to them that idea. Hi, just a heads up, after finishing with above for said clowns purchased the same item on Ebay all the way from Italy and received it in 11 days, and for $60 cheaper!
remember stay away from them!

Extremely poor customer service and no communication at all. Their website never updated the tracking number or ship date. I contacted them several times by phone and email. Always an excuse as to why the products didn't ship. Then after a while they would say that they did ship but would never give me a tracking number; always stated that the "shipping department" would send it to me. I have used Internet Hobbies for over 8 years now and have never had a problem. Once last year the owner, shipped an order I canceled. Its value was over $250.00. I returned the model and the credit was not issued to my account a simple mistake, we all make them. We decided to use the credit for other merchandise and in the end I received more than what was owed me in merchandise. I will continue to use this company as long as he is on the internet. This is a hard one to respond to as I don't know the exact situation or person who wrote this review. Most e-commerce businesses get a huge volume of emails on a daily basis. Each email is important to us and we always strive to stay with in that 24 hour response time. Occasionally an email will end up in our spam folder which can cause a slight delay if we don't catch it. Frankly, I've always found it to be much better to just call the toll-free number and talk to me directly.

Bought a locomotive and it has been a month with no package in sight! This company is just awful and treat You like a pest! Wish I had read the reviews before dealing with them, there it comes up like a big red "dont go there". Been dealing with many other on line businesses and they all where great. Here's what happened on this person's order. We had a sale on Broadway Limited locomotives that was very successful based on the low prices. He ordered his locomotive and we immediately shipped it out. Here's where the problems started. One of our shipping clerks must have gotten his order confused with another and shipped his order to someone else. That is why we kept telling hum his order was shipped. About a week later we received a phone call from the customer we had shipped his order to. We immediately dispatched an electronic UPS return label to him and asked that he return the goods to us as soon as possible. Unfortunately, he went on a business trip and left the package with his wife to ship back to us. For some reason, unknown to us, she failed to do so. He shipped out the return to us when he arrived back hone. This customer was located in California so it did take 5 days to get it back to us. Once we had the goods back in our possession, we immediately posted it to the original customer. I've had to let the shipping clerk go as his mistake has caused us to lose a valued customer. I apologize for what happened with this customer. It was just a series of unfortunate events.
