I had a couple of satisfactory transactions with Internet Hobbies in the past but I wish I had checked their Better Business Bureau rating (F) and online reviews (overwhelmingly 'poor') before placing another order. My first suspicion as to their business practices came when they charged my credit card account immediately on receiving the order. Why be in business if you're not going to do business? It should have been a simple transaction. 1) Look for Tasca 1/35 M4A3E8 Sherman online; 2) "find" it at Internet Hobbies; 3) order it from Internet Hobbies. And that's when things went so wrong. Three of the four items I ordered from Internet Hobbies were canceled by successive emails,even though their website showed all four in stock. My final shipping charge was greater than the cost of the one item they shipped, and they've failed to refund through Paypal the cost of the last item they canceled. I received my order from Internet Hobbies yesterday. The UPS man commented to me about how well my shipment was packaged. This was my first order with Internet Hobbies and I really didn't know what to expect. I opened the carton and was surprised to find that 100% of my order was there in pristine condition. I believe that the Internet Hobbies web site is a scam. My experience is similar to those of your other reviewers.
I place an order on 25th, and my Visa card was debited almost immediately. The next day I received an e-mail saying my order had been cancelled with no explanation. Of course no money was refunded. The email link provided from 'contact us' is bogus as well.
I've reported it to my local police, but I suspect there will be little they can do from here in Australia. My concern...

Having received nothing by February 18th, I contacted them by EMail and they promised to "look into it when we open." I haven't heard anything from them despite two further EMails, and today (March 2nd) I forwarded a complaint to my state's Attorney General's Consumer Fraud and Protection Bureau.
