I junked BT DigitalVault more than a couple of years ago - it was simply terrible. Slow and the login and dashboard NEVER worked properly and the way to see your backupfiles was lousy. I was even paying extra to have another 50GB of storage which I frankly could never figure out. Then when I decided to cancel that, they didn't even let my paid subscription period end before DELETING all my files. Before I could retrieve them and reorganise. I eventually got those files restored and recovered, and never touched it again... until tonight. My C drive filled up. My iPhone crashed in the middle of a sync and got trashed, and the culprit - 50GB of BT Backup Logs which apparently had been running (but failing) every morning for the past 2+ years, eventually filling the disk. So I tried to log back in. No dice. I don't exist there anymore. But I digress - the point is, as a Backup Service its really bad.

BT Digital Vault. Aladin Cave is no match for the unopenability of this 'service'.
Absolutely dire. I have been a BT Broadband user for many years now, but this service is just not, not a service that is. It doesn't work, never has. Foolishly I tried again this morning, only to be met with the usual screen 'please be patient while logging in, we are experiencing some problems'. Well I've been waiting 2 years, how much longer should I leave the log in screen up BT?
Today, to add insult to very rubbish service injury, or maybe just becxause I like to punish myself for persevering, I spent time trying to log my concern again (fool, fool, fool) only to be told when I entered my telephone number, that it should start with a '0' or '1'!!!!!!!! Well it did the first time I entered it, and most definitely did the second, third and fourth time I entered it!!!!!!!!!!!! What on earth are BT smoking on this one. They do like to let themselves down by making themselves look so stupid.

Find this site easyish to use. Maybe a little bit slow but fairly straightforward. Great to be able to store your photos for free. Even more space if you are a broadband user. Most people don't even know about it. Just think if you get you pc or laptop stolen then you will be really upset - so get uploading those photos now and then let your friend have access to the site or maybe not!!

I dont use this facility because I could not think why I would need it until I read your review Mike then it dawned on me that most of my pictures are only in the computer because I transferred them digitally from my digital camera. So if the hard drive went into melt down or the computer got nicked I would indeed lose everything.
