    I sold a mix of 172 cd's and dvd's to music magpie. On their website it said I would receive £125.12 but after they received and checked my order this went down to £118.83.
    A week after the courier came to pick up my package I received my cheque which cleared today. I sent mine in one big box which I think helped to process my order quickly as opposed to sending it in two or three boxes.
    I would definitely recommend them to a friend and use them again myself.

    It seems that I am not the only one that is waiting for money from these people. My items were collected from my property on the 6th Nov and as of yesterday they say that they can't find the order.
    My brother who lives in Macclesfield has visited their shop and the prices of the cd's are ridiculous. Its much cheaper buying them from Amazon Marketplace or Play Trade.
    Their customer service is appalling as they take an age to reply to any emails.
    Am still waiting for a cheque for over £100. ...

    DON'T USE THIS SITE if you want your money fast, after sending my cd's and dvd's over a month ago i am still waiting for my cheque, i have emailed them twice asking where my cheque is and they say it was posted over a week ago but sent second class, not even the royal mail are this slow so they are blatantly lying. And an average of 30p per cd is a complete rip off!!

    Saw their ad on the TV claiming that they pay very quickly - I sold 20 music albums to MusicMagpie 6 weeks ago and am still waiting for my cheque!! This site is not a scam but they take so so long to pay up and they need chasing too..

    I sold over 100 items so had a box delivered from them. The box arrive next day (Friday) and was collected Monday.

    OK, I only got £73 out of them but the cheque arrived 9 days later for the full amount despite a few of the CD boxes being cracked.

    Very pleased overall but 4 stars instead of 5 due to poor email communication - mainly slow replies.

    Would definitely use again and would definitely recommend.

    In the last couple of months I've sent two boxes of CDs to Music Magpie--one valued at £35, and one at £45. In each case I received payment for the full amount 3-4 weeks after sending the package. This was a little longer than expected but acceptable.

    Was impressed by the web site and ease of use so I thought I would give it a try. Three weeks later Music Magpie are telling me that my cd's have not yet arrived and it could be due to the fact that it can taken about 2 weeks for the cd's to be received by them and that are "still optimistic" that my cd's will arrive. All I can say is that I am glad that I have only sent some old ones. Would not use again or recommend

    offers for alot of my 80's cd's were very poor & when i thought they would offer more, waited weeks for payment and only after emailing the customer services to chase them up!! or else i probably would have had the money for xmas after sending my parcel of 20 cds in June !!! not as good a service as publicised so come on music magpie get your act together and give us all a faster efficient service and you may just get few more good reveiws.

    sent off my c.ds on 27th july, said i'd recieve a cheque in 7 days. still waiting!! sent an e-mail to customer services who took a week to reply.said they had recieved my order but several items were missing. could i confirm all orders were sent.they were but still not heard anything or recieved any money from them. definetly wouldnt recommend Music Magpie to anyone. didnt want to give them one star ratings but wouldnt let me leave them blank, have overrated them.

    I used music magpie to sell some old dvd's games and cd's the site was great AT FIRST barcode scanner was easy and i loved how you could see how much each thing was worth.I sent off my package on the 23rd july i got my cheaque today that is almost a month!! i called them about week and a half ago and was told that my order will take as long as it takes and i'll get my money sometime after they have processed the goods i sent them.To add insult the cheaque they sent me came 2nd class!!

    Heard about musicmagpie on a couple of forums and thought it would be a good idea to trade in my games to them rather than the hasle of ebay and everything else. Sent them the games as requested but had to wait several weeks before a cheque arrived and not for the full amount. If you send an item to them and it is damaged, they dont return the item, keep it and most likely sell it on anyway, and then you get a cheque for less money..

    All in all, it takes ages to get the money but its a good con ...

    I am still waiting for my payment from Music Magpie 4 weeks later, I rang them and there was no answer, I put through the new Michael Jackson ultimate colection in leather case and they quoted 45p and it cost me £115, a waste of time, frustrating and not all games and DVD's/CD's work as the barcodes aren't registered!

    Unfortunately Music Magpie simply don't follow their own process. I had to chase them to arrange a courier (for large sale, they say they contact you, but they don't) & I'm still waiting for payment 18 days after they were collected (they quote 7 days). It's a shame, but if they can't get these basics right, then they won't get recommendations or repeat business.

    Music Magpie is quite possibly one of THE WORST exchange websites for CD's/DVD's/games available. Not only do they offer you ridiculously low prices for goods, but the customer service is horrendous. I understand completley that lower prices are to be offered, but 35p for a CD that came out all of 3 weeks ago is just a kick in the face. You're better off with ebay.

    I would not use magpie music if you're in a hurry for the money as im still waiting for my cheque to come through.Firstly though it is easy to sell your stuff on their web site all you have do is enter the bar code of the cd or dvd and it come up for an offer price,bearing in mind nothing goes over £3.00.So if you got a big box set of 20 dvd's you better off selling on ebay because you won't get more then £3.00 for it.If you sell over a 100 units you get a courier to come and pick yo ...

    After reading some of the reviews on here I was a little unsure about using musicmagpie but I thought I would give it a go and they were fantastic. I 'sold' over 100 CDs & DVD's on Sunday 14th June, I aksed for them to send a courier to pick them up on Thursday 18th, he arrived at 8am and I hadn't had time to label the parcel but he said not to worry as he had all the labels with him. This morning (27th June) I received my cheque in the post for exactly the amount I was originally quoted. So ...

    Music Magpie is a nice easy to use site for cds - but thats where all the good elements to this stops.. They pay very little for your cds, I had a few that I had tried to sell on ebay with no luck so thought it best to sell these and just get the cash from them - Its taken me 5 weeks to get a cheque, and it wasnt even for the full amount as they claimed some of the cases were damaged! Better off using someone else on the high street to sell your cds

    Saw all the publicity about Music Magpie at end of last year (anticipating they'd be overwhelmed for a while) so I stayed away until May. Site then indicated that they would turn sales round in a week so I tried it. Excellent service and despite a Bank holiday in the middle, they did exactly as promised.

    as i sold over 200 cd's, i sent them by TNT, collected on 18th feb, delivered on 19th feb. seling my cd's on the Music Magpie website by 22nd feb. emailed them on 26th feb to ask for my cheque, they said my cd's had only arrived on the 26th feb (i checked tnt website) and my cheque would be sent straight away (SAT 27 th feb). no response to my emails. it's know 6th march and still no money!!....next steps civil action..
