I have looked at several cheap-flights websites... but this one was the cheapest and the easiest... I would recommend it to any of my friends... It gives you the chance to look it by price, time, airlines, and others. Also it gives other optional websites that u might look, which I did however the prices were cheaper her, and it didn't charge me any extra cost for using this service, which was really cool... I travel a lot and i like to go away on last minute weekend. skyscanner always helped me in finding nice flight deals. I'm in love with the everywhere search... and i also use the app for iphone that is just fantastic! it has a globe you can spin and look at prices and.. dream of where you want to go;) now I just need a raise!. very nice also the possibility to browse the best prices in the month or in the year. I checked flight on skyscanner today and everytime I click through to a next page the prices increases. It started off with 66 pounds per person on the original page. I then selected that option which took me to a pop-up screen where a summary of my option (through opodo?) was given as well as the option to book it through bravofly, ryanair and eDreams with the coat of each. I looked at booking return tickets from Brisbane to Male. The cheapeast quote for 3 adults was approx $3,200.00. It then took me to the actual site and the quote then said just over $3,000.00. "Great" I thought!! When I first used this website I enjoyed it very much. I felt like a travel agent who can search all the bargains at my finger tips. I booked a rather cheap one-way ticket from Prague to HK using the site. But then I realised they are not so good. I made the big mistake of trusting the prices they showed for the Shanghai -- Hong Kong flights. Just been looking to book my summer holiday flights and followed through more than 50 'prices' - ALL - 100% - were considerably more when you clicked through - or simply got the 'Price not available - You cannot proceed with these bookings.' The reason I clicked over 50 is that it is easy and I thought surely they can't all be false!! But they are. “Love the "everywhere" option”

Skyscanner is my first stop for finding flights. I really like it when I know that I have some time off to go somewhere, but I'm not sure where I want to go. You can select "everywhere" instead of a destination and it shows you all the cheapest flights to lots of places all over the world. The thing I'd really like to see on the site is the ability to book a round the world flight or a sequence of flights to different places in one trip. (read more)

Contrary to my rating for the site, I do like it. My BIG COMPLAINT IS THAT SO MANY OF YOUR OFFERS/COMPETITIONS ARE RESTRICTED TO ENTRY BY FACEBOOK. I am sure there are many people like me who not belong to Facebook and have no desire, indeed an objection to, belonging. Your articles are of interest to me and I find them informative but Facebook membership puts me off. Please think about readers like me. (read more)

We run various competitions and giveaways across various platforms; some via Facebook, some via Twitter, some via email, some via other platforms such as YouTube.
We're sorry that you feel you're missing out by not being on FB but we've found that the vast majority of our users like this method as it's a quick and simple way to enter.

“Skyscanner leads you to scams”

Skyscanner checks websites for airfares but their searches can lead you to a scam. They should have a warning message on their front page advising users of possible scams and to check all websites before providing any information. For example, I used skyscanner to find a flight which led me to FAREGEEK website. This website is a scam, the company does not seem to exist in the US and apparently they are based in India. i have been searching for a flight, the top 3 companies for the cheapest flights all seem to be dodgy from the google searches and every review (except the ones clearly done by members of the company) profously warns you not to use them. you should really sort your website out

On what basis do you make your accusation?
How dare you accuse people?
You don't know me, so let me make it clear:-
I have no association with Skyscanner except that I book flights through their website. It is free to the user and gives good information.
I work in the Motor Racing Industry and have to book a huge amount of flights with very little notice and Skyscanner makes it much easier.
They have nothing to gain from getting employees or associates to leave feedback, but everything to lose.
You have obviously brought them more advertiing revenue by your accusation.
If you have a beef with Skyscanner I suggest you take it up with them and not wrongly accuse members of the public.
If you had done some research on my username you will have found that I have had a long web presence on the internet and probably long before the people working at Skyscanner had started school.

There are, I think, some very harsh reviews of Skyscanner on this blog, and in my opinion, they're way off base. Let me tell you why. On the bad side, their prices are usually off by 30 or 40 dollars, on the low side. A price that they quote as $615 per person might be $645 when you get to the booking engine website. There is an option of looking at the whole month worth of prices and work out when is the cheapest time to go. on the negative side, they are only collecting historical data, so you have to go to actual website to see if the info is still correct. Skyscanner is the only place I go to search flights now, after consistently finding them to find the best deals. They don't 'promote' any particular airline, but are totally transparent, plus they include the extra fees and taxes that you know you have to pay but many other 'comparison' sites leave off. This is helpful, as you can make a fair assessment of which is the best price. I like their new redesign too. (read more)

we booked the flights with fly.co.uk through skyscanner and received confirmation from fly.co.uk, so we went and booked the hotel in Paris. fourteen hours later we received e-mail from fly.co.uk telling us the flights booking have been cancelled. when we called then to ask what the meaning of e-mail they said the booking has been cancelled due to technical error and we can go and book the flights again but by then the flights are three times the price. the customer service was very rude... Yesterday we booked flights as we always do through Skyscanner. Unfortunately, they have decided to start using this 3rd party fly.co.uk to book the flights. We found an error in the booking and tried calling the number on their website....IT IS A DEAD NUMBER! I called the German branch, the French branch and the Spanish customer service numbers....NOT ONE ANSWERED!!! I eventually called AERTICKET AG (IN GERMANY!) and cancelled the payment....thank God. They were very courteous and couldn't do enough to help. I WILL NOT be using Skyscanner again!
My recommendation... DO NOT USE FLY.CO.UK!!

We compare 1000s of flight prices from various airlines and travel agents, then direct you to the seller’s website to make your actual booking there, so you get the best price.
Please note: Skyscanner do NOT take bookings of any sort – and never have.
Fly.co.uk is one of hundreds of agents whose prices we search and compare. We have just tested their UK call centre and got through straight away. It’s worth noting that they do charge for calls and it’s possible that your phone blocked their premium rate number, hence why you couldn’t get through.
We do over 6000 transactions every month with Fly.co.uk, and more than 99.9% are completely successful. In the event of any issue, please do contact them via email or their call centre and they will be only too happy to resolve the problem – as they did in your case.

I reserved 2 rental vehicles in Florida. In the confirmation email from skyscanner, the price for the rentals was higher by 50% than what I had reserved. I cancelled the reservations within 7 days of making them. Also the cancellation was more 48 hours prior to the time I was to pick up the vehicles. According to their refund policy, this should have qualified me for a full refund. Instead, they kept $113 of my money! I sent them polite emails asking for their help. Never got a response.... Skyscanner are a comparison website that compare hundreds of prices then present these to the user, who then goes on to make their booking directly with the airline/hotel/car rental agency.
As a comparison site - we at Skyscanner are not involved in any transactions. All bookings are made direct with the supplier, hence this issue should be directed to them rather than Skyscanner.
However, we have investigated this issue for you which was made with CarTrawler and have found that refunds were made in line with CarTrawler's cancellation policy (http://www.cartrawler.com/booking-conditions/ ).
We believe this has now been resolved, but please contact CarTrawler directly if you have any further issues.

Inaccurate and out of date. Still, I suppose you get what you pay for, and this site is 'free', but it is not worth the frustration.
Much simpler to go direct to the airlines own website, which actually has up date information.
I would also suggest calling hotels directly - sometimes I have been able to obtain a lower rate than by using a website, which has no ability to negotiate.

The site is a great site, it gives live information on airfares on return and oneway flights between given airports. It's simple to use quick and effective and provides a link to the website allowing you to go on and book the flights. The search facility even provides a list of airports when entering a country in the destination field, obviously it's not designed to recognise actual resorts or beaches. That would require the user to have at least half a brain and be able to research the airport that serves those destinations. So yeah, not totally idiot proof then?

What a really good web site. Use this all the time to check out flights. I don't think it includes all the routes but it does appear to include most of the budget airline. It is useful in that you can find out easily which airports you can fly to the the UK from your chosen destination. Would highly recommend this site for those independent travellers out there.
