    Good Points: The pool area

    Bad Points: Everything else.

General comments: La Palma , Hotel Princess and Spa nice beautiful setting - but thats its good points. Staff rude or indifferent, all-inclusive option waste of money - the hotel treated its all inc. guests different to half board guest - almost resented that fact they had to serve you at all. No staff interaction/banter - no atmoshpere at all.

The Hotel Princess and Spa is beautiful, rooms, gardens, pools spotlessly clean.

Was advertised as exclusive to UK customers but other nationalities were there. Thomson was economical with the truth. There are two hotels but once inside there is only one complex. Not what we thought we had booked. Cautious to book another holiday with Thomson although we have been with them for many years and had some wonderful holidays. Trips were very expensive and there weren't many toilet stops.

We visited in November 2007 and the weather was sunny and warm all week. There were banana plantations all around the hotel, so it was not a conventional setting but it was quiet and ideal to 'get away from it all'. Perfect for a week of reading around the pool with a couple of car/coach trips to add variety. Please be patient with hotel staff, because English visitors are fairly recent, whereas the Germans and Scandinavians have been visiting La Palma for many years. I loved the quiet unspoilt ...

Great hotel. Car hire is essential due to its location on the island, but the roads though twisty are generally very good. Nearest beach about a 20 minute walk with a small bar serving coffee etc. Enjoyed our stay very much hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Island is very beautiful and quiet not commercialized at all. Lots of well signed walks through beautiful landscapes.

Should not be given 5T or 4 stars. It's a barren and unattractive complex with towers resembling watchtowers in a prison. Everything is black as it is volcanic and all the gardens and walls are made from this material. Bad, bad, bad!

The hotel La Palma Princess in La Palma is a wonderfully clean hotel with a bright and airy reception. The reception staff were efficient but brusque. My room was down a steep slope and on the second floor even after saying that I had walking difficulties.
The weather was not that nice with rain 5 days out of 7 this also stopped most of the daily entertainment as it was held outside. The waiters spoke fluent German but very little English and most drinks had to be ordered by pointing to a menu.
