“Buy the small stuff but not furniture ”

Whilst living in Switzerland, we bought a gorgeous brown/cream Cowhide Chesterfield sofa, it looks fab as a statement piece , but that's all, when you look at the quality , it's pretty rubbish . I travel around Europe with my job and love to shop in their stores. I compare it to Primark, it looks great but you'll be throwing it out soon. I love the French style, table wear , curtain panels , accessories etc. But I won't buy any more furniture from them. The sales staff in store have a very 'couldn't care less about the customer ' attitude but J put it down to cultural differences. They're just not as polite as us Brits. They have a long way to go with their customer service style but I do like some of their stuff.

Be aware... of the delivery classification (see web site for more information.) Furniture is delivered by specialist carrier, however, smaller items are delivered by parcel:

"... A driver will come to your home... The parcels are delivered downstairs. The price does not include delivery to upstairs areas or installation."

This is all very well for small items, however, I just took delivery of two GOA night tables each weighing 14kg! I live in an apartment and the driver dropped the packages on the pavement outside my block and I had to drag them up to my apartment.

Currently there is no indication of item weight on the web site, so if you are taking delivery of multiple smaller items just be aware that you will have to carry them to the desired location.

I am considering buying the CHYPRE acacia garden bench from this company but I am so concerned about the poor reviews re the quality of the furniture, the poor packaging and consequently smashed condition of some goods and the poor delivery service as I too, would have to take time off work to wait for a delivery. Can you offer me any assurances that their customer service and delivery services have improved?  Thank you
