“Embarrassingly bad delivery ”

Beautiful stuff but shocking delivery. We ordered a lamp and a flamingo floor piece for my sister in law and both turned up broken. The lamps marble base was chipped and the flamingos leg was broken. Although customer service sent out replacements both showed up broken again as well as the third flamingo the sent out after that. Unfortunately, Maison du Monde is using Chronopost as one of their delivery options and it beats any other delivery service I had to deal with so far when it comes to no existent customer service. It was quite ironically amusing to see my delivery being shipped to the UK, then having two records on their tracking website of attempted delivery (not that they would leave a card to contact them to rearrange delivery) and then see that your purchase is being shipped back to France... “Cheap quality overpriced”

Before I ordered my furniture I did read all the mixed reviews but decided to order anyway as I liked the furniture. Ordering online was easy; and I was notified of a delivery date and was told a phone call would be made ref the time slot which happened.....also on the day of delivery I got a phone call 30 mins before delivery which was on time....the delivery guys were pleasant, professional, careful and spoke good english. I have purchased small piece of furniture for my daughter bedroom. It arrived seriously damaged, but it was wrapped in thin piece of cartoon. I asked for replacement, that arrived 2 weeks larer without any notice, also severelly damaged. The piece of furniture was made of the material of very bad quality. “Something wrong with lots many items”

Bought 4 lamps, 2 vases, 2 bedside tables, 2 dinig chairs, 2 benches to match a dining table. Whilst living in Switzerland, we bought a gorgeous brown/cream Cowhide Chesterfield sofa, it looks fab as a statement piece , but that's all, when you look at the quality , it's pretty rubbish . I was told my TV stand would be delivered between 3pm and 5pm on saturday 23rd April and it dind't turn up. No messgae to tell me that this was going to be the case and hence wasted a portion of my saturday. Was then on hold for 10mins on monday morning to speak to someone about this. Only with the confirmation email after the payment I discovered they don't include carrying the goods upstairs which defeated the whole purpose of the delivery (which costs 70 chf for my order).
