“WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER”

I arranged for my new bed and matching ottoman to be delivered today. I was given a three hour delivery slot in which my items would arrive and advised that 30 minutes prior to this I would receive a call from the driver. My husband was only ten minutes away, so this would give him plenty of time to get to our house to take receipt of the delivery. “Wrong order and not willing to compensate”

I was never ever buy any furniture from Laura Ashley again, it has been a total nightmare. First to arrange a delivery date, as every date they couldn't do. Finally when the furniture came the armchair was ill made and had 4 back legs on it! My lovely Beth silver mirror that I ordered was gold! Laura Ashley refused to recognise the mirror was the gold and tried to insist as it was hand made the shades of silver vary. “Poor sofas”

Ordered Kendal sofa and chair and Linden sofa and they arrived on time , although for some reason they tried to deliver two Linden sofas. Just a few weeks in the sofa cushions were flat and misshapen. I have done everything recommended to reshape but to no avail. in addition the back cushions on the Linden don' t sit together on the back of the sofa, the wooden legs on the rear swivel every time the sofa is moved. If you have no success please get in touch with a company called furniture reports for an independent report . I sought their advice after having six months of haggling with FIRA and a well known retailer. An independent report was submitted to the retailer and a full refund is to be paid along with refund of the fees paid to the independent company. The furniture is to be returned. Good luck.

“Cheap goods marketed as high-class”

“Mortimer sofa”

We took delivery of a sofa in April, after 4 weeks we noticed what we thought was a small black mark on the front facia, on closer inspection it was a small hole in the fabric. We contacted customer service who sent a technician a few weeks later. “Uncomfortable Sofas!”

We bought two sofas in January. We ordered them with foam infill cushions so that they would keep their shape and not need continuous plumping. We were not shown any foam samples in the shop. They arrived in April and are horribly uncomfortable. They are rock hard and although small styles they feel huge and pumped up. It's like sitting on the big air bed . “Laura Ashley Hastings Daybed”

The Laura Ashley Hastings daybed was perfect for our spare room. But had only been slept in a few times when the welds holding the legs at one end of the trundle gave way. It was not a heavy person sleeping there! I filed the sharp edges off the frame to make it safe - this apparently invalidated the warranty. “Total Rubbish!!”

My elderly mother purchased a chair from Laura Ashley costing £600 assuming it would be of high quality, how wrong could she be! After only 2 weeks the seat cushion had collapsed and she was virtually sitting on the base of the chair, she weighs approximately 9 stone. “Shockingly bad customer service”

Delivery time is twice what was estimated, but sheer incompetence at dealing with my order is what is so shocking. Have phones a number of times, was told different information each time I called. Was actually accused twice of lying, making up what the previous customer service support agent told me because 'that wasnt what she wrote down in the notes' and accused of lying about the delivery time stated in my order - I have it in black and white!! “Caution when paying cash”

After a long drawn out situation I want to advise other shoppers that if you pay cash for products at Laura Ashley please be mindful that there is a strong possibility that you may not be able to receive a cash refund. This is due to the tills having, as reported by both staff and customer services 'small floats'. “Absolutely dreadful service - don't go there”

I ordered some wallpaper online which said it was in stock. Lots of emails were sent to the customer services, but they didnt reply to any. I was then told 10 days for delivery to a local store as they were short staffed at the depot! Really rude, unhelpful and not interested, even though another of their stores had what I wanted, unable to amend the booking. Waited over 2 weeks for the goods to be delived to the store to be able to ask for a refund!! Really really dreadful non existant… Read Full Review

I totally agree, i had an awful job trying to return a mirror which hadn't even been dispatched! i contacted them to cancel the order as i was buying a different mirror, their customer service team via telephone told me i had to wait until the mirror got to belfast depot and when the delivery company contacted me i was to tell them i wanted to cancel! i said i ordered the mirror with laura ashley not the delivery company. i asked would i get my refund and the customer care agent said to ask the delivery company!! since when do delivery companies issue another store's refund???!!! the girl i spoke to in customer care was ffion, she would not give me a straight answer, hmmed and haaaaed on the phone - what kind of customer care training do they give their staff??!!! and watch out as they try to charge u 20% of the price if u are cancelling. it's a farce. i always loved laura ashley but i could not face the hassle of that. it's nice enough goods but they aren't the be all and end all, they are over priced and you are basically just paying for the name. i can get just as nice items elsewhere and for chaeper and most of all no hassle about returning things if they don't suit. no numerous phonecalls!!!

“Company let down by Customer Services”

Store staff were fantastic, so helpful and great with recommendations and advise. However, having waited for 18 weeks for furniture that was suppose to take 12 weeks, I am left so disappointed. After 12 months the furniture has discolored, every item, I bought the Clifton Range. Looked great, except for the chips that it was delivered with! “RUBBISH - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE”

I have never experienced such bad, incompetent customer services - we ordered a corner sofa in December they sent the wrong corner twice (left not right!!). We kept phoning up customer services (phone line is a premium rate and you can never get through) who didn't have a clue what was being delieved, so kept sending the wrong corner. Purchased two brass curtain poles from LA online, they were damaged in transit and never delivered. It took three long calls to Laura Ashley customer services over a week (during which I have received conflicting information) to establish that the new poles were shipped. Customer services staff did not sound professional, friendly or apologetic about the situation. “Last time I shop with Laura Ashley ....”

I've ordered from Laura Ashley online several times over the last year. But I'm done. Never again. I've had to return products because they are of a substandard quality ... not something you would expect from LA. I've then had to badger their customer services for a refund. Their telephone reps attitude is at best indifferent. Another issue is delivery. The slowest of all the online retailers I've dealt with by far. Their website states 3 - 5 days.
