“Dreadful paint quality and even worse customer service”

I bought 3 tins of matt emulsion paint from Laura Ashley. I started painting and all was well until suddenly a black smear appeared on the wall. I at first thought there must be something on the brush, so used another. Moments later, another black smear appeared. I persevered for a while longer but after several more of these I gave up, I took a couple of pictures and took the tin back to the shop. After a brief discussion the sales staff exchanged the tin. “Terrible Customer Service & Aftersales Support”

After deciding to purchase around £4,000.00 worth of dining room furniture across multiple orders we found a fault with the Brambly Dresser that was delivered when we opened it up. As we were in the middle of a renovation we were told by the delivery driver who wrote on the delivery slip that we would be ok to check at a later period and keep the items within their boxes and stored them in the house and this was noted on the delivery slip. Having read some of the 'terrible' reviews here, I absoultely agree with the awful customer service, however my advice is be dogged and get compensation for late delivery, etc. I managed over £200 on a couple of orders; just be firm. “BRADFOR LEATHER SETTEE CUSHIONS NOT REVERSIBLE”

Recently took delivery of the Bradford 2 seater leather settee. Future customers should be aware that unlike the Bradford fabric range the cushions are not reversible ( ie: the back and seat cushions have one side mostly covered in a cheap looking brown fabric ) Having paid £2000 the least you could expect would have been fully leathered covers! Bought a console table in Downham range, matt cream in shop and description, when it arrived it is more like a pinky magnolia. Contacted LA and their reply is they only sell it in cream! Yet, after checking their online ad they actually advise that the Downham range you purchase now will not match previous purchases, what does previous mean items you bought last week, last year? “Shocking Collection Charges”

I can't believe that after ordering a cabinet at the beginning of the year, at this point they took the money, therefore accuring interest on it, it turned up last week, I didn't like it (I accept that this is my problem) I phoned up to return it, £60 later, yes they have charged me this to collect it! I suggest you don't use Laura Ashley's delivery service as they use the completely incompetent Yodel!! I'm still waiting for my delivery after a month! Update!!
Surprisingly Yodel haven't sent it back yet! Joke! Laura Ashley couldn't deliver their promise so they've finally agreed to give me a refund, one month later! Even Laura Ashley can't get a good service from Yodel and they're paying them!! Last time I shop at LA.

I worked for Laura Ashley in the call center for over 3 years, As ALL company's, there are issues and problems. Theses problems will always happen. However, i have seen some posts on here that i recognise from complaints i have dealt with. What will always AMAZE me is that if you, as a human being, call another human being and are rude, nasty, sarcastic and aggressive, you expect that person to bend over backwards to help you?? My situation with Laura Ashley is the same as another reviewer, I ordered two Bradford Leather Sofas in July which were at sale price for 26th September delivery (I was given the actual delivery date), then in August receiving an email from LA to say delivery would be delayed until 7th November. “Rip Off!”

I ordered 2 sofas in the sale which I was told would take 12 weeks to be delivered. If you are the type of person to change your mind DO NOT ORDER FROM LAURA ASHLEY!! When I tried to cancel the order very early on I was told that I would have to pay a quarter of the price, over £400 because the sofas were 'bespoke' and made to my specification. “unspeakably poor qualitity, don't waste your money”

If you don't like ironing do not buy bedding from Laura Ashley. I unfortunately bought 2 sets, a wash and a wear. What a big mistake. No matter how carefully I wash them, on reduced ironing setting, how much fabric conditioner I use, they always come out of the machine looking like chewed up rags and even, after taking ages ironing them, the creases never really come out. “Don't Bother with LA”

Good advice really. We bought two sofa's for our living room and were very happy with them. However after the first year the fabric started to discolour from the inside in the form of dark patches. “Duvet cover felt like a crumpled rag after 1 night”

I purchased a very expensive child's duvet cover and pillow case from Laura Ashley. After 1 night on my daughters bed, it was crumpled and soft and looked awful. I decided to wash it to freshen it and found I couldn't iron it smooth again, so it looks even worse. “Not the quality expected”

I recently bought a poncho style top from LA and kept it to take away on holiday. After wearing it twice I washed it on my return. I was given a three hour delivery slot in which my items would arrive and advised that 30 minutes prior to this I would receive a call from the driver. My husband was only ten minutes away, so this would give him plenty of time to get to our house to take receipt of the delivery. I was never ever buy any furniture from Laura Ashley again, it has been a total nightmare. First to arrange a delivery date, as every date they couldn't do. Finally when the furniture came the armchair was ill made and had 4 back legs on it! My lovely Beth silver mirror that I ordered was gold! “Poor sofas”

Ordered Kendal sofa and chair and Linden sofa and they arrived on time , although for some reason they tried to deliver two Linden sofas. Just a few weeks in the sofa cushions were flat and misshapen. I have done everything recommended to reshape but to no avail. in addition the back cushions on the Linden don' t sit together on the back of the sofa, the wooden legs on the rear swivel every time the sofa is moved. If you have no success please get in touch with a company called furniture reports for an independent report . I sought their advice after having six months of haggling with FIRA and a well known retailer. An independent report was submitted to the retailer and a full refund is to be paid along with refund of the fees paid to the independent company. The furniture is to be returned. Good luck.
