The instructor is very strict and rude. The place is filthy, covered in dust and filth. The horses and kept well though. When i went there i didnt learn much as the instuctor was busy shouting and telling people off for getting some thing very little wrong! I would not reccomend to a friend as i know some much better riding schools. The South Wales Equestrian Centre Heol-y-Cyw price is fairly good. The horses bite and kick,so i dont think the horses are good for learning with.

The South Wales Equestrian Centre trainer although strict is very fair, and does interact very well with her pupils, and given the time with each pupil is very good.
The place is absolutly filthy, a view through the cafe window that will reveal a bag of chips that have been on the table for many months, some of the horses are also not suitable for kids.- Read Guest's review (66 words)

I think that SWEC is a good place to go to. Although, I do think that the instructor's attitude is, well, let's say, very strict. The horses there are treated fairly. I would reccomened it to people who are able to withstand bad comments.- Read Guest's review (60 words)

I cant believe some of the comments! I think the South Wales Equestrian Centre is great ! I came there REALLY nervous and a complete beginner! They gave me Confidence and i am a much better rider now! And i agree they're all real sweeties! All the horses there are fab. The instructor is absolutely lovely and even when shes telling you off like 'stop screaming'' she still says it in a Kind and Lovely manner. Im not sure were all talking about the same school here!- Read maelle101's review (89 words)

Stables are kept in excellent order - always clean and it is evident that the horses welfare is of paramount importance. I have been riding at the stables for a number of years and have always enjoyed the lessons and hacks that I have been on. The horses are well schooled and well behaved - Jerome is a sweetheart!
I have read the previous review and cannot believe that it relates to the same riding school! I do not doubt that on occassion both the owner and the instructor are tired, understanda ...- Read Guest's review (157 words and 1 comment)

I started lessons here in early summer. Very nervous at any speed over a trot. Lessons with Jeanette have really increased my confidence in a relatively short space of time. The horses are extremely well schooled and fun to ride.
Very reasonable prices for lessons too, a real find.- Read alica's review (79 words)

I can't disagree more strongly with the other comments. I'm an adult beginner (used to be able to ride and am learning again!), and can't recommend this place enough. They have a really good instructor, and they really chose horses to match your abilities (horses are amazing by the way!). They are also good at booking lessons last minute - I called up one day, left a message and got a call back booking one for the next day. >Also, I know this probably doesn't affect a lot of people, but I have a ...- Read Jo Fox's review (152 words)

I would recommend the school to anyone. The team were both supportive and helpfull helping my confidence grow from day 1. I went on a 2 hour treck back in Feb which was fab. The views were outstanding. The horses are well looked after and very willing to help. I rode faith and kingpin who were ideal for a novice like myself.- Read scottcushion's review (91 words and 1 comment)

I would still recommend for lessons although you would probably need a thick skin when dealing with the boss, I dont think that this is personal as I believe she is like this with most people. Athough I do not personally approve of her manner. She needs to remember that the customer is providing her with an income but I know that her parents are extremely well off and so we are probably just an inconvenience to her!!!!!!!!!!- Read Guest's review (128 words)

One of the best ways to judge a business is to see how they deal with and approach customer complaints or any problems that occur.
I leave it to you to decide, but would you place your children in their hands knowing this is they treat your children or how they conduct themselves behind the scenes or how they deal with any customer concerns, I think not...- Read Guest's review (333 words)
