Good Points: Low partner distrubance
Bad Points: Visco foam pillowtop failed twice in 18 months
General comments: About 18 months ago I purchased a Simmons Beautyrest Evolution Visco mattress and base, a top of the line model. After 5 months the Visco pillowtop started to fail and after 11 months I put in a warranty claim. The company (Sleepmaker, here in Australia) gladly replaced the Visco foam with the promise that it would never happen again. I had asked for a different pillowtop because I lost confidence in this material but was told "it's against the law to change the specifications on a warranty repair". Now, 5 months later, that replaced foam failed again. Once again I requested that they replace the 80mm Visco pillowtop with conventional foam. Once again the company replaced the pillowtop with Visco but this time with a thin layer of 'another' foam. For some reason this was not seen to 'break the law' regarding changing specifications from exactly what was originally purchased. The mattress that was returned to me is now, strangely, a very firm mattress and nothing like the gentle mattress that I purchased and want.
