Good Points: The graphics
Bad Points: Utterly pointless and irritating driver 'assistant', no thought given to evolution of the series
General comments: It's fair to say that after jumping straight from NFS Underground 2 to NFS Carbon I was very excited at what I'd find. What I DID find was awful. Having now played the NFS before this (Need for Speed Most Wanted) I can honestly say that NFS Most Wanted is far better than NFS Carbon. The first thing I noticed upon firing up Carbon was the confusing menu designs. It's as if some genius at EA decided "hey, those menus are just too easy to use, let's mix things up a bit". Then upon trying out my first race I was confronted with this utterly pointless driver assistant person, who you can "activate" to block your opponents. Yes, because trying to get to the front of the pack, whilst taking good corners, avoiding traffic and walls just really isn't enough to contend with is it - what we really wanted was to have to worry about another set of fiddly keyboard commands right in the heat of racing. I uninstalled this game after the first race, and don't intend to play again. My best recommendation would be to play Need for Speed Most Wanted instead.
