  Good Points: Reasonably priced semi professional. 10.1 Mega Pixels 6.5fps speed and 75 RAW shots Very solid construction Supports non dedicated flash units (PC)

  Bad Points: Should have 12. Mega pixels or better (450D has)

  General comments: Overall the Canon EOS 40D is a very good camera for the price tag ( £529 after rebate). Picture quality is better than 400D series... 6.5 fps is fast enough to start with. 3" LCD screen and Live view feature at an affordable price. My score is 95/100
