    What a car!!!!!!.........after much research into other rivals of the tiguan, particularly the ford kuga we finally settled on the tiguan due to it's build quality that surpassed that of its rivals.
    The tiguan dives and handles the road superbly. It is a pleasure to drive and its high driving position is good. It puts 90% of its power to the front wheels and 10% to the back until such time it senses a loss of traction when it would automatically distribute the power to the wheels that require it.
    Fuel ecomomy is good, currently running at 9 to 10 pence per mile...often with the air con on too so for such a heavy car this is good!
    Ours is fitted with a retractable towbar that is hidden behind the rear bumper until it is required....fab design and when factory fitted with an upgraded coolant, it can tow more than the cars weight (according to VW)......We have ben camping with this car twice and it pulled our 1.4metre erde trailer with ease, inc 4 passengers, a full boot and a fully loaded roof box....and it still had grunt!!
    The only small downside that i can see with this car is the size of the boot, it is big enough to fit a childs wheelchair and a weeks shopping, but no more. However it is adequate for our needs, this is something you would need to look at for yourself if you are considering purchasing one.
    Overall, the VW build quality is fantastic, the car is superb and i would not hesitate to recommend the 2.0 tdi 170 SE to anyone..........try it, buy it and most of all ENJOY it!! like we do!!
