Abysmal. Pre-made processed frozen food and bottled sauces you can buy from Bookers cash n carry. Buddha Bar, Derby gives cheap a new meaning...you pay for what you get. The worst dining experience Ive had for as long as I can remember. Dont waste you re money or time....you will only be disappointed.
    Truly awful!!

Buddha Bar and Lounge, Derby has good hot asian food, starters, mains and sweets available all the time. Friendly staff with drinks service being very quick and resonable for restaurant, resonably priced good honest asian food, good service.
bit dark on the last visit but it was valentines night.

Buddha Bar is a nice place to go to - will be going again and again.
Great atmosphere, great surroundings, bar was funky and had a great choice of cocktails - loved the Long Island ice Tea. Staff were friendly and generally it was a really good experience

Had drinks in the bar first - large selection of wines, beers and cocktail menu was amazing - then went through to the restaurant - had a great meal and then went back in the bar where a DJ started at 11pm. The kind of place you want to stay all night as it provides everything in one place.

Went there with a load of friends, had an excellent evening. Had drinks in the bar, walked through to restaurant, had lovely food, then back to bar. Will be back there again without a doubt.

Personally, I think the Budda Bar and Lounge in Derby is just what Derby needed and I think they should expand elsewhere. The food is lovely, the atmosphere is lovely, the restaurant and bar is lovely...I cannot fault it. The food was a mix of Thai, Chinese and Indian...a great combination; a lovely Asian cuisine. I would definately go there again and have recommended it to friends and family. Both bar and restaurant are exquisite.

This is a great venue and just the sort of thing Derby needs. Good food, friendly service, live music and, of course, the odd cocktail.

Imagine you are on an all-inclusive foreign holiday where the evening meal is a buffet.

That's what you get with Buddha only there is no sea, beach or exotic location, just the buffet.

There is a mix of Chinese, Thai and Indian food available but none of it was that good.

The only positive thing I could think of was that you don't have to wait for your food, because you get it yourself.

A gimmick that I don't expect to last.
