Good Points: Great Flint Knapping Course, held in a nice woodland location so you get the experiance of knapping like our ancestors.
Bad Points: None really, just needed more time to practice making my flint arrowhead.
General comments: For any one interested in a fantastic one day course in Flint knapping with one of the UK top knapping experts, take a look at Natural Pathways Flint Knapping course (www.natural-pathways.co.uk/flint-knapping.htm) I attended this course last October having already done their excellent Discovery course, and once again it was a great experience.
Will Lord took us through the history & development of knapping in a very practical manner, showing us many of the techniques used by the people of ancient history.
We all got to make our own flint tools and discovered just how hard it can be, till you try you don't realize how complex it is to make a tool from a piece of flint rock.
I intend repeat the experience & attend another course, there's so much to take in, plus I need more practice making arrowheads.
