Good Points: Doesn't drip, nice smell, leaves your hair in good condition with excellent colour!
Bad Points: Honestly can't think of anything that bad about it.
General comments: After bleaching out the black I've had for years, I was desperate to find a beautiful dark burgundy hair dye. My hairdresser disappointed me (despite me paying more than '£100!) so I resorted to Garnier 100% Colour Intense packet dye. It's cheaper after all and gave me Deep Burgundy (no. 426)
I used Feria in Purple Power for a while but although it gave gorgeous colour, I faded very quickly to a bleachy orangey mess. I decided to go for something a bit more natural that might stick better. That's when I reached for Garnier 100% in Deep Intense Burgundy. Especially since it was just under £5!
I normally hate dying my hair but Garnier was a pleasant enough experience. You get good quality gloves, mix up the solution and slap it on. To my surprise, it never dripped once! It was sort of gel-like and easy to apply. There was more than enough for my hair, but as with all dyes two almost certainly would be needed. And the smell was lovely, a change from the chemical fumes that came off Feria and left me gasping while I clawed at a window.
After half an hour it was time to rinse and although it was a bit of a Psycho scene, it rinsed clear faster than all the other dyes I've used. Another massive positive for anyone as impatient as me. I could see the colour change from when I first slapped it on my head and was really pleased after it had dried completely. Beautiful, dark, natural-looking burgundy hair which glows pinky under the light. Plus my poor damaged hair felt quenched thanks to the equally nice-smelling conditioner- I wish they sold this seperately so I could use it every hair wash!
I've washed my hair quite a few times since and it's held pretty well- best I've ever seen anyway (well, besides my black with never faded!) It's still a lucious burgundy, just a notch lighter. It sounds a bit like I work for Garnier 100% but I'm seriously happy with my results and want to rave about it. I was a bit wary when I couldn't find reviews of it here before I purchased, but I'm so glad I did... and at least it has one review now!
I hope this review is helpful and please mention anything I may have missed!
