Despite its age, it's still a great little phone, missing GSM 850 band which wasn't available from any manufacturer at the time. Bought this used in Manila, Philippines unlocked and have used it traveling around different places. Asia is particularly inexpensive obtaining and using a prepaid SIM; Canada, Europe tends to be much more expensive using a prepaid plan. I basically wanted a good quality basic phone, long lasting battery life for talking and standby. The battery tends to be shorter ...- Read panda1's review (189 words)

The Sony Ericsson T68i mobile phone is simply for someone who wants to contact other people. It is good for that because it does not break easily. However, this phone is no hi-tech media center, and as I said, is purely for the purpose of contacting others.- Read virenb's review (53 words)

Owned the Sony Ericsson T68i for about 2-3 years, and was very impressed by the battery life. It can last a week without recharge with minimal usage.
However, the reception on it is abysmal. I thought it was my service provider, but my friend has a T610 and he has similar reception problems, I assume it must be a problem with Sony phones. I could only get vaguely good reception in the open air, at work and at home I could barely get anything. The bluetooth is dodgy.
Because the reception ...- Read dodgyb2001's review (147 words)

The Bluetooth is naff without the software update, I tried connecting it up to my PC (eMachines 330) via USB Bluetooth Adapter, and then... ...nothing, my T68i crashes whenever I try to send or receive files via Bluetooth, shuts itself down without warning on a regular basis, and has the tendency to say "Low Battery Power" when I've just charged it up. Explain that.- Read netblaster's review (74 words)

If you are interested in a T68i phone... RUN AWAY SCREAMING NOW.... It is the most infuriatingly slow phone I have ever had the misfortune to use. I actually grew a beard whilst waiting for it to boot up so I could make a call.
The screen is not all that either. I had the handset replaced twice due to failure and when it failed a third time I was due an upgrade and jumped at the chance.
The reception was poor too. I could use another brand phone on the same network that had a near perfect rece ...- Read booges's review (189 words)

The Sony Ericsson T68i is a nice and compact mobile phone and over the past year I've found it to be very reliable. Ocasionally it will switch itself off but very rarely. Viewing the screen in bright light is difficult (for my old eyes anyway). I have only had limited success using it for Internet access as a modem via the IR port on my laptop. This was one of the main reasons I went for it.- Read tirc83's review (96 words)

i was pleased with my Sony Ericsson T68i when i first got it, but as time went on i realised that the signal reception was absolutely abysmal. The inability to send text messeges for c. 90% of the time rather annoyed me (what do you expect, im 15, textings all i ever do! lol).
The idea of all the features such as bluetooth etc. are good, but they seem too much for the phone to handle.- Read tomlad's review (120 words)

General usage: Rubbish. I dread everytime I have to reply to a text message - my thumb isn't *that* big, and I keep hitting the wrong button.
Over time (I've had this Sony Ericsson T68i mobile phone just over a full year) - the buttons and joystick becomes unreliable, the On/Off (or No) button is now almost unworkable, other navigation buttons are going the same way.
Menu system is okay - quite pleasing to the eye, but avoid this if you like texting (as I do) because it's about 4-5 button ...- Read stez's review (377 words)

I quite like the shape and compactness of this Sony Ericsson T68i mobile phone. I think it looks smarter than some of the new phones that may have superior features. This phone is not probably for people who constantly use the text facility. I am not happy with the following:
The battery is not well fitted and creeks with use.
Joystick developed a crack after a couple of months and came off about the 11th month.
Charger gave up and caused inconvenience trying to get a replacement
Unhappy wit ...- Read Flow's review (120 words)

The Sony Ericsson T68i offers a multiplicity of functions but with dreadful execution. The mobile phone's processor is not up to the task; it is woefully slow, freezes often and suffers from poor reception with frequent dropped calls (no problems when other phones used on the same network and locations). I have had 2 as the first crashed and could not be resuscitated; the replacement was no better.- Read shetland's review (83 words)

I bought this Sony Ericsson T68i mobile phone almost a year ago and have no intention of upgrading it or replacing it once my contract finishes. I noticed some problems appearing after about six months and it began with texting. With some words, or if I was using say, an apostraphe it would take a good few seconds for it to appear on screen when previously it would have been instant. There were other niggles here and there, one particularly memorable one was when the 'joystick' refused to corres ...- Read justafan's review (181 words)

I wasn't expecting much from the Sony Ericsson T68i when i bought it but was pleasantly suprised by the what the mobile phone offered for its price (£100 from shop) it has an IRDA port and Bluetooth that are really easy to use and link with everything i have tried it with, the memory or battery life can compete with any other phone but the only problem is the limitation of picture taking if you use the camera attachment because of the 256 colours- Read Craig Pimp Daddy's review (138 words)

I thought i couldn't go wrong with a Sony Ericsson T68i, after my last phone (motorolla t191) decided to pack up on me and they wanted to charge me £50 to fix it. I've had the phone since August 2003 and suddenly i'm now experiencing the dreaded "NO ACCESS" error that so many people have talked about. With me it seemed to initially be on an on off basis, but now i can't even use my phone. When i phoned up t-mobile the first thing they asked was if it was a t68i (bet they've had a few calls ...- Read wabotg's review (173 words)

I'm eleven months into using this Sony Ericsson T68i mobile phone and it has just packed in: won't take calls, won't send calls, nada....
The only other people I know with this phone have had the same problem. I was happy with it up until now (generally) and the coverage/network problems I experienced I put down to T-mobile and not the phone. Now that I've read these reviews, I'm not so sure......- Read allilacuna's review (86 words)

DO NOT GET THIS PHONE, i've owned the Sony Ericsson T68i mobile phone for a few months, and can honestly say that i've never had a worse phone (i've had 6 other phones in the last 2 years...). Most of the time i get no reception (in the middle of a city!!), and the phone is just too slow. Even the slowest of texters can outtype it.
Get a T610, much better.- Read zacorus's review (87 words and 1 comment)

For the entire time I have suffered poor reception with the Sony Ericsson T68i mobile phone, as compared to other phones, such as the T610.
The volume switch is a multiswitch on the side. It has become non-functional.
The entire time I've had the phone it has taken several attempts for it to turn on. In at least one instance it has refused to turn itself off.
Its processor is so slow that I can outtype it. In particular, it does not lock sufficiently quickly after a phone call (menu- ...- Read pigdog234's review (113 words and 1 comment)

This Sony Ericsson T68i is far and away the worst mobile phone I've ever had the misfortune to own. If you wanted something which typified how Ericsson lost their way, this is it.
It was never designed - rather it is a set of features stuck together. The menu structure isn't set up based on what a user may want to do - rather it is a seemingly random assortment of features the phone has. The user then has to translate from what they want to do, to what features of the phone enable them to do ...- Read ljh's review (364 words)
