This shop is terrible, they were rude, blunt and unprofessional. The customer service was atrocious with the snooty woman left me and my mum unattended for 40 minutes! then rushed me out the door because they didn't seem bothered to make any effort. The worst was her comments about my size, I'm not a large girl by any stretch of the imagination and she outright commented on my size and that there would nothing there i could fit into! Whilst I found the perfect dress at the Pantiles Bride,I did not have the perfect experience. We had a wonderful first dress fitting but did not get offered any of the phantom champagne. I always thought and hoped it would be a dream experience and if it wasn't for my mum and bridesmaids it wouldn't have been. Thankfully no matter what this experience was like I married a wonderful man. I just hope other brides are made to feel more special! (read more)

It's a shame that Go Bridal either don't read these reviews or don't care enough to sort themselves out, as the points that are negative are fairly consistent: that the customer care is pretty terrible. I would suggest that, if they just addressed this fairly simple and completely inexpensive issue, that they'd have far more positive feedback. My experience was very similar to others on here. Same as below - we were all asked to remove our shoes before we came in which was very strange! We also had a buggy and they pulled out a carpet and made us lift the buggy on to it. Seeing as they were so worried about their precious carpet and we had to wear gloves to touch the dresses I could not believe it when the assistant, [name removed], had holes all in her tights! I am so sorry that you feel as though you have had a bad experience at the Pantiles Bride. This is certainly not our intention.
The reason for us asking nowadays that all shoes be removed is that we have recently had a new carpet fitted in order to keep brides actual dresses in pristine condition when they are having their dress fitting. We require the brides to walk the full length of the boutique in order to make sure everything is perfect with the gown. We do not want an ounce of dirt from outside on a perfect ivory gown as we do not clean them before a brides big day. This is ultimately the same with the custom made buggy carpet we have had designed and cut to specific measurements to fit all prams, again so as not to get any dirt etc from the wheels onto brides actual dresses - not the samples.
Unfortunately we do not serve tea or coffee but will always offer water or even better a glass of champagne to celebrate and enjoy the appointment.
I hope this has cleared up any confusion and we would love to see you again if you havent already found you dress.

I went to the Go Bridal Store and it was a fantastic experience! We arrived a bit early but were told to take a seat but we decided for a wonder instead... We were given tags to take around the store and there are 3 floors to look at! From the minute you entered nobody even acknowledged or looked at you until it was your turn, it felt very unwelcoming and certainly wasn't how you wanted to feel before picking a dress for the most special day of your life. The picking of the dress felt rushed like you were an inconvenience taking up space. The after sales was even worse, once your money is taken its like you don't matter anymore. I cannot thank and recommend the team enough! After being ignored and told my dream dress was not possible from many other shops, Marie and the team got me my dress, gave me the chance to meet the designer Ian Stuart himself!! And made me feel like a princess. I have been to two wedding fairs to visit the team, and every time has been a pleasure. As you enter the shop, it feels lovely. Many beautiful dresses, expensive price tags. At first it make you feels special to be in there, then you see the dress of your dreams, pay a deposit and the staff turn into the wicked witches of the east and Cruella-de-ville. After booking an appointment, we arrived, only to be told we couldn't come in as they were running over time with existing customers and could we 'Go for a wander, or get a coffee somewhere' !!! It was cold and raining and on reflection they then invited us in. Upon visiting this shop recently to purchase a wedding dress we were welcomed by what appeared to be friendly and polite staff. Oh how wrong first impressions can be. The owner is at best rude and the brow beaten staff do their best. A wedding should be enjoyable so don't start your journey here otherwise it won't be. I have lived in Tunbridge Wells for five years and have always dreamed of having a dress from The Pantiles Bride since getting engaged in 2010. When I booked my appointment I told them I'd have to bring my son with a buggy which they said was fine. We were running late as traffic into Tunbridge Wells is terrible, so I called them to say so and got 'right ok' and they put the phone down! Good selection of dresses but don't expect good service. After a long search I did eventually buy my dress at the Pantiles Bride but in hindsight should have dealt with the designer direct. The staff were rude, cold, patronising and despite the fact i was spending thousands gave the impression that that they really didn't need my custom. Once the balance was settled I was hurried out of the shop so that they could get the next customer in. After sales is non existent. (read more)

I visited the shop this week to try on a specific Alan Hannah dress that Pantiles stocked. I was greeted warmly by Pammy who could see I was anxious about trying the dress on, she made me feel very relaxed, made me a drink and then put me in the dress. I agree with some of the other reviews about this shop - they stock nice gowns, however the customer service - from the moment you have paid your deposit - is extremely lacking (in my experience up to then it was good). In my opinion the price charged for alterations is high and they are not done to a good standard. For such an important purchase, in my opinion you should avoid Pantiles Bride! (read more)

I just wanted to reassure anyone reading this review – that the scene described above is not the norm. I was there on the afternoon in question, and yes it was extremely busy, and quite loud. However, I was very nicely asked if I might mind popping back in 15 – 20 minutes when things would be rather calmer which I was happy to do – and it was! It was my third visit (having successfully bought my dress here), and I have found my experiences to be nothing but positive. Sometimes appointments run late and shops get overcrowded, that’s just life!
I think that going out into the shop is perhaps a bit daunting, but I saw it as good practice for the big day, when let’s face it, EVERYONE will be looking at you!

If all the bridal shops I've been to this was by far the best place, intimitate and special but not over the top or pushy. The lady who helped me (the owner of Pantiles) was really patient and helpful, she worked hard to try to find something that suited me really well rather than just trying to sell me anything. I was a bit of a pain when it came to trying on dresses but she was very polite and accommodating and they stock the gorgeous Ian Stuart dresses! I had a very positive experience at Pantiles Bridge in Tunbridge Wells. My friend had bought a dress from the store and recommended it to me. I loved the fact that you have to wear white gloves to look at the dreses so they don't get grubby and stay fresh for all brides. I recently had my final fitting at The Pantiles Bride and I cannot praise them enough. They gave me great service from buying the dress through to collecting it. They gave me an estimate as to how much the alterations would be and it was my choice whether I had them do it or not. I describe my experience as awful customer service. The Pantiles Bride have a great range, encourage you with all kinds of advice. Once the contract is signed they change. Most of the information is incorrect and if you try and question any of the advice they refer you to the contract. The 2 bridemsaids dresses I bought were a poor fit, poorly advised, dresses made cheaply and their tailor is too expensive. (read more)

I cannot sing enough praises about The Pantiles Bride in Tunbridge Wells.
I didnt buy my "Wedding gown" at the shop but I bought a Jenny Packham evening gown there.
It was actually a Jenny Packham wedding gown but I bought it to wear as evening wear.
I didnt feel rushed or pushed. I felt like it was somewhere I could go and buy a dress again and again.
They had so many collections and such an arrangment of styles I was no doubt going to buy something from this store.
