I don't understand some of the bad reviews o2 get, I've NEVER had any problems with them, you get what you pay for with o2. The broadband speed has always been excellent, it's cheap compared to a lot of broadband providers and the customer care has always been there for me. Cant fault o2 in any way, only praise for them :)

I used O2 broadband for over 2 years in an area covered by phone lines only. Their service was brilliant compared to BT Broadband who I was with previously. Somehow o2 managed to double BT speed for a lot less money. After the initial 12 month period, they wrote to me and offered the next 4 months free to stay with them!! Had a few setting up issues, but their customer service was brilliant and had it sorted in minutes. I have since moved to a cable area and of course get better speeds and a full media package. But I was sorry to leave them

I find O2 very good with fantastic Broadband Speed and it's very reliable too. I found O2 are actually faster than BT Infinity too, I know what you're going to say how can they be, well you try BT and you'll see for yourself. Also fantastic package deal, no one can actually compete with their discounts and overall good quality service! I'll never leave them that's for sure, anyone that discredits O2 Broadband has something wrong with their head or needs examining too. Keep up the good work O2 you're marvelous!

“Good price, good service, good performance”

My O2 broadband and phone service started about 6 weeks ago. Maybe I am writing this review too soon, but so far so good. The price is very competitive for existing O2 customers, service friendly and helpful. I had some trouble with the wireless router but I think it was probably my fault, and they spent time talking through on the helpline (freephone number). I am on the all-rounder package, and get speeds of around 10Mb fairly consistently. One thing that swung it for me was the phone evening rate starts at 6pm, not 7pm like many providers. So I can make most of my calls in the evening and weekend call package. Of course like other providers they sting you for daytime calls, international etc. I can see other people have had problems so I was wary but my experience has been very good so far.

Been with o2 Broadband for 4 years now ,good internet speeds no capping or throttling downloads, excellent reliable service with no hidden gimmicks download restrictions . English call center staff are friendly courteous and professional unlike other 2 star broadbad providers i have terminated in the past due to unhelpful foreign call centers poor speeds and service . Tip :Remember to renew your 12 month contract last month it expires to benefit from half price Broadband (£6:25p existing customers over 2 years 6 months 6 months ) as they DON'T tell you when it expires you end up paying full price unless you have o2 mobile contract or top up £10 a month you get £5 discount off full broadband price . So even if you receive broadband for £9:50p with discount you still save £39 a year just for the hassle of making 1 phone call O2 website quote "Truly unlimited download limit £6.25 a month For 12 months for O2 customers of 2 years + For 6 months for O2 customers under 2 years"

I am now on my fourth internet service provider and can honestly say out of all of the ones I have tried O2 has the most constant reliable service. It’s not super fast but good enough for all normal use. I am no longer with O2 sadly because they don’t do fiber optic service and I like to download movies. I do find their staff a bit clueless but because I never had more than a couple of outages in the two years I had O2 Broadband I never had to speak to them very much. O2 made it very easy for me to change over to a new service provider because they don’t hide your Mac address like AOL. I would give them 8-10 across the board. They could improve but then they would have to put the price up so all in all value for money wise I would say a very good all round service provider.

“Reliable and great customer service”

Been on O2 for over a year, and the service is reliable, good speed (same as Virgin which is supposed to be faster) and best of all, the customer service is fantastic. I've never had a problem with connection of internet. I have the home phone which has been problematic a couple of times (not O2's fault), which they sorted out promptly and kept me updated on. The service centre's are in the UK, which is exactly what you need in your provider and it's the customer service level that kept me at O2. I almost switched to Talk Talk when they had great deal on, but rang the retention team at O2 first and got a new customer deal so stayed (which I was relieved about as didn't want to leave). Highly recommend the company!!

Now with O2 for second year. Initial Setup & transfer was excellent, speed is only 6M but I am miles from Exchange so still pretty good. Their response to questions is very good, prompt, sensible and mobile texting of an answer AS WELL as the email contact is a bonus. I approached them about service cost when the First year was up and they were prepared to offer a competitive price for year 2 so well done there O2! Would I change, well if someone offered me a MUCH lower monthly rate and significantly faster performance and I might be tempted, but I'd then be braving an unknown in terms of service and quality. Would I recommend them, definitely. I'd like the router to be a bit more user configurable, like a non-branded router such as TP-Link or Netgear, also 1GB Ethernet ports would be great, but not so great I'd feel the need to change

I switched to o2's Home Phone + Broadband package, coming from BT after 3 years of expensive packages, abyssmal customer service, billing mistakes and hours of complaints and waiting for things to be fixed, and dealing with their indian call centre who have absolutely no phone manners.

o2 were quick, diligent and friendly. All call centres in the uk. Their router works absolutely flawlessly with all the macs and PCs in the house. Broadband speed is VERY FAST, although seems to have dropped very occasionally in the past few months, but after being cutoff by BT for weeks on end in the past, it's a small pain to suffer.

I get calls to uk, Europe, and the US every month for about half what I was paying with BT, and I wasn't getting any free calls with them at all.

Stay away from BT their are appalling. o2 provide excellent and cheap service. I can only speak for their service in London. I have taken the time to write this review to reiterate how awful BT are and if only one person cancels their service with BT I will have accomplished something.
