Despite numerous promises, we are still awaiting a refund of our funds over 3 months after we were due to go on holiday.

“Don’t give you what you paid for”

Arrived in Cyprus to find out that not going to hotel that we paid for. Stuck in another hotel for 2 days. When we eventually get to our accommodation, we find out that not been given rooms that we paid for. They think by offering half price next holiday is suffice. When you try to get money back under section 75, they fight you all the way. Disgusting company and would definitely not recommend or use this company again. How sneeky, they wait till we get there at 22.30pm and then leave it to the driver to tell us.

just returned from north cyprus,staying at the malpas hotel,everything about this hotel was 5star wished i had booked for 2 weeks.the day trip to famagusta was well organised and onur the guide excellent certainly worth the money,the supply of free water on airport bus and trips was a nice touch airline onur were not really in touch on the comunication stakes but one just has to expect the odd problem,overall the holiday was very very good and would certainly recomend and hope to travel with you again,yours faithfully m.j.mccallie

Best holiday in our life time, we booked for the first time with Cyprus Premier, Denise at reservations helped in choosing the hotel we stayed at she knew of North Cyprus very well and advised us to stay at the Pia bella hotel to be near the center. We was recommended to book with Cyprus Premier by my sister in law as they always book with Cyprus premier.

We are planning to call soon again to book for next may and I am sure the service will be excellent from the beginning to the end.

“We too booked a holiday in northern Cyprus through...”

We too booked a holiday in northern Cyprus through Cyprus Premier. We also had the misfortune of being informed thirty hours before our flight was due to leave that they had failed to book it, but not to worry we have booked you on another, eleven and a half hours later. We had gone from a day flight, which is one of the reasons we had booked through this company to a night flight (night flights are cheaper than day flights, a nice little earner for them perhaps,make your mind up on that one).

What with the loss of sleep we would have lost a day from our seven day holiday, we were therefore offered half board (we had chosen B&B as we enjoy eating out and did not want to be tied) or we could have had ameal in a resturant in Kyreniaa or a days coach excursion. None of these we found accepatable. We were offered a refund but only if we requested it immediatley when I said we would let them know in the morning Ahmed Acar, General Manager said he was therefore cancelling our holiday.

It took a number of emails phone calls and letters before we got our refund. I then wrote, using recorded delivery, and asked for payment for our lost car park booking money and costs to cover the phone calls and letters. No reply at all.

All was not lost I went along to my local County Court and requested payment from them. This costs £30 but is added to what you are asking from them. Result, after the court served the papers on them they paid up in full, albeit with a snotty letter.

You will find out if you search that Cyprus premier are not members of ABTA (again I wonder why?).

Do not let this company get the better of you.

Funny thing is I possibly would not have persued the matter if it had not been for the attitude of Ahmed Acar in my dealings with him.

Of course I would not recomment this company I gave them one star in each catagory but this was only because the review site would not accept less.

“We just returned from a holiday in Kyrenia that we...”

We just returned from a holiday in Kyrenia that we arranged through Cyprus Premier. We stayed at the Pia Bella, the hotel was lovely. I wouldn't book through Cyprus Premier or Cyprus Paradise again though. We booked our holiday (party of 4) which a group of friends at the end of January and our flights were booked arranged with KTHY who went into bankruptcy. I found this out by looking on this forum and contacted CP. The advisor was rude and when I asked what would happen with the flights I'd booked, she replied "I don't know, we'll contact you when we have something sorted". I waited to hear form them for a week or so, and heard nothing. Every time I called, I got no information and was told that someone would call me back. They never called. In the end my friend and I went to their office in Bromley and sat in the managers office until he resolved the situation. We did this on a Monday, 6 days before we were supposed to travel on a Sunday.

We were due to fly on a Sunday at a specific time that we had requested (and paid more for) and we were offered flights on the Wednesday or Thursday, we refused due to work commitments, and were told that there were no flights on the Sunday. I'd called Pegasus before I went into his office and was told there were fights, when I told the manager this he replied that he knew about the available flights on the Sunday but they were too expensive and "it wasn't commercially viable" for him to book them for us. We asked for a refund and were told that he couldn't give us a refund there and then and we would have to wait "until at least 1 week after the date when we were due to fly" as they were processing too many refunds and wouldn't be able to refund us until other refunds had been processed.

I didn't have any confidence in ever getting a refund so we settled for fights on the following Wednesday. The lack of communication from this company was appalling. I did all the chasing to find out what was happening. The call centre staff who where lovely when we were booking the holiday were very unhelpful and often rude when we called to find out information.

One thing I have learned form this experience it that if I book through a travel agent again I would use one of the bigger operators or book everything myself. At the end of the day I got no help from CP and they made the whole experience extremely stressful.

Dreadful - Not with a bargepole - do not book with this company!

Paid in full in April to go to Ercan. Found out via a friend that the flight company had gone bust. Still nothing from Cyprus Premier. Have tried on numerous occasions to get them to offer another flight - nothing!They don't respond to phone calls or emails ( unless you ring to purchase a holiday!)

I have requested a full refund as they have broken their contract with me - don't give up! Try your credit card company too for a refund

TO ALL CUSTOMERS OUT THERE

I would not recommend using this travel agent for booking a holiday.

Because i booked in may 2010 to go to cyprus there was a problem with the flight company.

So they cancled our holiday and refused to give us a refund untill our departure date, which was four weeks later.

Which is disgusting because i paied the full amout ten weeks before my holiday, so that means that me and my family have NO holiday & NO refund due to Cyprus Premier

I will not be using them again.

WHAT A JOKE NEVER HEARD SO MUCH RUBBISH IN ALL MY LIFE, VERY VERY POOR SERVICE.

“I booked a holiday for myself and my partner though...”

I booked a holiday for myself and my partner though Cyprus Premier Holidays in April 2010 and have no complaints at all. I felt very confident with Francesca's handling of our booking. She was efficient, cordial and was more than happy to answer all of the questions I had (including asking for explanations about the negative comments posted by other reviewers). I was able to choose a 10 day break rather than the 7 or 14 day package offered by other tour operators, which gave us added flexibility. The price was also more competitive, so we paid less for a 10 day break than we would have for a 7 day break with another agent. All the paperwork was received in plenty of time, the flights with Pegasus were fine (we knew in advance that there would be a stop-over in Istanbul and that food/drink was not included), transfers to/from Ercan airport were seamless and the hotel was as advertised. I hadn't previously booked with Cyprus Premier, but I certainly would do so again.

Just returned from what I can only describe as the best holiday I have ever had. We travelled as 3 couples and stayed at the Acapulco. Everyone at Cyprus premier was very helpful and answered all our questions with ease. Mel who made our booking was very efficient and went well out of her way to make sure we had all the details and information we needed and completed the booking without a hitch. The Hotel and staff were also very good. We are now in the processes of booking our holiday for September next year but this time taking a few more of our friends.... can't wait!!!

“Booked early on in the year and apart from one problem...”

Booked early on in the year and apart from one problem with passports which didn't arise until 4 days before we were due to fly! everything seemed to go OK.fortunately passport problem was resolved. Happy with the airline - Turkish Cyprus airline - nice meal and free drinks provided! Booked into the Pia Bella Hotel - this was beautiful. Although we had one of the obviously much older rooms it was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us! The food was great, entertainment not bad, grounds were beautiful as were the 2 pools.
Northern Cyprus however, was not great. There was the odd nice bit - e.g Kyrenia Harbour - but it wouldn't take you all day to wander around that! also Golden Beach at the end of the panhandle. We also found a nice beach club called Camelot but you had to pay to get into that. Certainly not miles of golden sands as the brochures and internet info. would have you believe. On the whole it is a dirty place not geared up for tourists at all really. Don't even bother with Famagusta or Nicosia! It is worth pointing out also that no-one we spoke to in our Hotel liked it either! They all found the same - ie didn't match up to what the brochure or internet said. We were all very disappointed. We won't be going there again!

I found this review not helpful because... you are not supposed to be rating Northern Cyprus as a whole, you are rating the tour operator, and its not fair to give a tour operator a bad review because you didn't like the country that you decided to book!

“I will never ever use cyprus premier holidays...”

I will never ever use cyprus premier holidays again......they were rubbish.

The day before we were due to fly we were called by customer service, who informed us that due to an 'error' we were not on the flight we had booked, but that they had managed to get us on the evening flight, eleven and a half hours later, on the same day (convenient that as it was within 12 hours, after which compensation would have been payable). There was no apology and no real explanation as to why this happened.

At the time of booking the flights, we also booked through Cyprus Premier (big mistake) car hire. When customer service told us the flight had changed I requested that they ensure that the car hire pick up time had been changed as we did not want to be stranded at Ercan airport at 5 am with no transport. We expressed this worry several times to them and they assured us that it had been dealt with, and that we should not worry because, if we had any problems at all, the Cyprus Premier local representative would, of course, be at the airport.

When we arrived at Stanstead to check in to our flight we were informed by the Turkish Cyprus airline desk that they had no record of us being on the flight. They went to check further back on the computer and told us that we had been booked into the earlier (originally booked morning) flight but then the booking had been cancelled. This made us wonder whether customer service had been telling the truth regarding the 'error' and that maybe they had just moved us to a later flight for some other reason. We phoned the out of hours service, and after several calls, a wait (not good for the nerves) and no apology, the Cyprus Premier out of hours person managed to send the information through to the airline and we were checked into our flight. Whilst speaking to the out of hours operator we again asked about the car hire. Would the car be at Ercan for us? "Oh yes", was the response "it has all been sorted out". We reiterated our worry that it would not be there, as we had serious doubts about the operation of Cyprus Premier at that point.

We arrived at Ercan at 5am, and guess what? Yep, you got it, no car. Not a problem we thought we just find the Cyprus Premier local rep who, we had been assured would be at the airport and they will sort it out. After a hunt around and asking anyone we could see. Guess what, no sign of the rep. So once again we had been misinformed (lied to, to shut us up?). Several further calls to the out of hours person. Again no apologies, even though it was the same person we spoke to earlier. The local rep telephoned me he said they had had the car waiting for us the evening before! He therefore obviously had not been informed of the change of times. The local rep did not offer a solution. Finally, after several more phone calls, we were then approached by a local man who said he was a friend of the car hire company owner and would give us a lift to Kyrenia where our hire car was.

Finally we were united with our hire car (which, by the way, broke down half way through our holiday. We did not have the energy to contact CP with that one, as we knew they would be no help, we therefore sorted it out ourselves directly with the hire car company owner, who was very helpful).

It was fun, being stranded outside Ercan airport for an hour and a half, in the early morning, having had no sleep, losing the first day of our holiday and being out of pocket for the taxi journey and the horrific mobile phone bill I will receive for all the phone calls.

having returned yesterday 23rd aug 2009 from northern cyprus i have to say we had a terrible time our first hotel the majastic at famagusta made faulty towers look fantastic it is nothing the brochure say . dont go there.
value for money not worth the price not 4 star more minus 3
our rep in resort was helpfull and says they are aware of the probs with majastic so why use it still.

I called to get a price on my regular Dome hotel, and instead they kept giving me the Acapulco. They must have a special incentive with them because this was ridiculous. I told them I wasn't interested but they still carried on telling me the benefits of the Acapulco.
Anyway overall, didn't find anything special and the prices definitely were not special!

Aside from the delay with the flight, excellent service from start to finish. Travelled with a 3 and 5 yr old, were duly catered for in every respect. Can't fault the hotel they recommended despite never hearing of it previously, have already booked our next holiday with them and received a loyalty discount on top... fantastic...
