    Good Points: Quality, quality, quality
    Ready to run out of the box - (after charging the battery and finding 8AAs for the controller)
    Not stupid fast - suitable for younger kids and novices.


    Bad Points: Would like an option to buy the 'Crawler' variant RTR


    General comments: This is our first proper RC truck. It is a very nice piece of kit, well thought out and constructed. The designers at HPI really put in the extra effort with this.

    Instructions seem comprehensive and have detailed exploded diagrams of all components and systems to help with maintenance and upgrades.

    Top speed is listed at 12mph which is more than adequate when in the control of small children and novices.

    In standard form it clambers over some surprisingly big rocks and obstacles and is immense fun in a small back garden space. It's not really house trained, it's powerful enough to knock over domestic pets, ornaments and unsuspecting relatives. It's first act was to destroy a mug full of tea and an occassional table before being banished outdoors.

    I understand that there are plenty of conversion options and extras, which should make it a more interesting and educational hobby.

    I would of liked the option to buy it in rock crawler trim RTR, but there is a complete conversion kit available which will be on the cards as soon as we get bored of pulling wheelies.

    Not being an expert or knowledgeable about any of the other trucks available in this class I cannot say if the WK is any better or worse, but I'd definitely rate this as value for money.

    Buy it! nonstop fun, worth every penny. Upgrades are avail to convert to rock climbing if you want. Be sure to buy a high map battery-truck much faster, runs way longer.
