Good Points: It tasted ok.
Bad Points: Look, Size, Customer Service, EVERYTHING!
General comments: At the suggestion of my Cater I picked Karen of "Karen's Just Dessert" to make my Wedding Cake. BIG MISTAKE! We arranged a meeting to talk about the cake. We talked and I showed her several pictures of EXACTLY what I wanted the cake to look like. She assured me that she could make a cake look like the pictures but I still left her a copy of the picture just to make sure. We arranged to have a fake layer on the bottom of the cake to make the cake look bigger as well. I left happy that I would have a beautiful Wedding Cake and paid her soon after in full through paypal.
Let's skip ahead to the day of the Wedding. I arrive at the reception site after the ceremony and was horrified by what I saw! The cake looked NOTHING like what we agreed to! Sugar sand was on the table like we'd agreed, three layers and a fourth layer sticking above the sand about 1 to 2 inches. Not exactly the 4-6 inch fake tier I was looking for.
I even had my Bridesmaids walk up to me at the reception as say "Hummm... have you seen your cake?" When I confirmed I had and I hated it they continued to say "I didn't want to say anything but yeah it doesn't look anything like the picture you showed me".

I emailed her after the wedding and as calmly and professionally as possible told her my concerns about the cake. She completely dismissed my concerns and coldly told me there was nothing at all she could do for me. So here I am left with pictures of this plain UN-professional looking cake for the most important day of my life.
So PLEASE be very careful and very specific in any dealings you have with Karen of "Karen's Just Dessert". Or honestly just don't have them! Though the cake tasted OK it looked like something any teenage girl could have made. My Mother was re married a few years a go and got her cake from Harris Teeter and it was 100 times better in EVERY WAY. If you are thinking of using "Karen's Just Dessert" to make your Wedding Cake, just don't. It's sad that I would have rather had my cake from a Grocery Store than from "Karen's Just Dessert" :(
