“Excessive payment time”

I recently sold some tickets through Getmein and although I am happy with the selling side of the transaction I am very disappointed with the length of time they withhold payment. I appreciate they have to hold it for some time to ensure the sale went through ok and the buyers were happy with the purchase but surely 10 working days after the event is far too much time to hold on to the money. What worries me equally is that they now say they will TRY to make payment 2 weeks after the event… Read Full Review

We try to issue payment within 10 working days after the event, providing the tracking information's accurate, this is so that we can maintain a secure marketplace making sure that the buyer has successfully attended the event and giving us time to investigate if any issues do arise.

All being well we'll then make payments into your PayPal account - don't forget to double check your payment details to avoid any delays.

“lost tickets and fobbed me off when I asked for help”

Today I had the worst customer service experience of my life with getmein, I cannot emphasise how unhelpful and tricking the customer service personnel have been to dissuade me from raising a complaint and getting my tickets back after I asked where they were and was told they were lost. Beware,the first barrier put up to stop you get to speak to someone is a voice message telling you to select an option that cuts you off. Hi,

Thank you for your feedback and I’m really sorry to hear that your tickets were lost by UPS. We’ve looked into your order and it does appears that tracking information stops somewhere after Barking. When you contacted our call centre, one of our team already raised a tracer with UPS which initiated an investigation on your package.

Our disputes team will keep a watchful eye on the progress of your package. Generally we allow UPS up to 8 working days to complete their findings but most times they find the package well before then and can deliver it onto you safely. And if it gets to 3 business days before the event we will immediately arrange for you to receive a refund or you can use it as a credit to find suitable replacements of your choice.

But we do kindly ask you to allow UPS to try to find the package first – as the tracer was raised yesterday, please check your UPS tracking number and you can already see that they’re looking into your shipment. We shall be in touch with you with an update in the coming days.

“Great experience - got what I wanted!”

I had never purchased on Get Me In before so was a bit sceptical but really wanted the tickets on offer so gave it a try and was delighted with the outcome. My tickets came much quicker than expected and the purchase and registering all went very smoothly. “Very cozy and heartwarming experience.”

Eeels was simply excellent. The conneciton with ther audience was real. The production was near studio quality with the added extravagance of feeling personal. Interaction between the band and the guests was almost like living energy. I recently bought a ticket for the opening performance of Monty Python live, and I live in another country. I accidentally got it mail to the wrong address, which happened to be the neighbour. I let the neighbour know that I was expecting a package, since it was too late to renter the address. The delivery man was nice and let the neighbour sign for it, and then I later got a call at home that it had been delivered and that the neighbour had it, and arrived safely. “Brill night had by all”

Everything went as planned, the L G arena atmosphere was electric, terrific seats, the bands were Brill and everyone had a great time,highly recommended. I would go again and take other family members and friends,when the whole audience joined in singing even in the break was fantastic. “The History of the Eagles - Manchester”

“do not trust”

bought 2 download tickets from getmein in preference to stubhub, the tickets failed to arrive so the day before the event i rang them and was told that the seller had messed up and did not have any available. i was not informed of this until i rang in desperation, we had waited in all week for the tickets. i then had to wait a number of days for a refund. the customer guarantee is worthless, they could have got tickets easily because they were still available to buy at full price. do not trust… Read Full Review

As we’re a ticket resale website, we provide a secure platform for members of the public to sell on their tickets - we don’t actually own any of the tickets sold online. Regrettably your seller let us know that he was unable to supply your tickets in time.

In the rare cases where this happens we will do everything we can to find you replacements. We know it’s really disappointing not to get tickets so we only source from sellers who have tickets in hand and ready to dispatch – we wouldn’t want to let you down again.

Unfortunately there just weren’t any equivalent tickets available and that’s why we’ve refunded you in line with our FanGuard Policy - this usually takes 3-5 business days to show in your account.

“Poor Service - excessive charges”

I sold 2 tickets on GetmeIn that I had purchased from another ticket site but was unfortunately miss sold by the seller and the seats were in another row. I contacted getmein immediately and informed them of what happened. I offered the buyer a 30% discount. She was happy with it. I have received the payment from Getmein and they have deducted money for VAT, Postage and fees from the total received. When in the initial order I wasn't responsible for vat or postage. I’m sorry to hear that you weren’t able to provide the tickets as listed. Once a sale is made against a listing you have entered into a contract to supply those tickets. Just as we protect you by not allowing the buyer to cancel, in turn we have to protect the buyer by making sure they get what they pay for.

Where the tickets can’t be supplied and a refund is offered, the refund amount is applied to the total buyers price which is inclusive of processing fees, delivery and VAT, and these costs are passed on to you in line with the terms of your User Agreement as shown when registering with us.

I’m sorry for any confusion and hope this explains the costs that have been deducted from your payment.

I was very pleased with the service I received. The conformation email came immediately and the tickets were received within the week, and plenty of time before the event. “Arcade Fire.. Explosive!!”

Earls Court, a fabulous venue, soon to be demolished completely, was host to Arcade Fire on 7th June 2014. My girlfriend & myself headed down on the saturday night, dressed up all shiny & smart for the gig.
