A nice, simple hotel, clean, very friendly staff and a good location, calculating the size of New York, also the price was very affordable, given the level of the other hotels in the area. I recommend it to all young people who decide to visit the Big Apple, it is perhaps not too suitable for families. (read more)

Dirty, dated rooms well past their sell-by date. With the exception of the Reception and public areas, the whole shabby place needs renovating. Very noisy location and difficult to sleep. Plumbing incredibly noisy - you can easily tell when any other guests are using the toilets; sink ubends need disinfecting! Some staff helpful; others quite surley! Affinia Manhattan is a great hotel worth every penny. I stayed for 1 week and was made comfortable from the moment I arrived. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

The location is superb, opposite Madison Square Gardens and halfway between the north of Times Square and the south of Grenwich Village.

Rooms were spacious (I actually got upgraded on arrival) although cold at times but came equipped with everything I could need, if something wasn't there the staff would organise it for me.
