www.JusttheThing.co.uk offers a great service if you're looking for something flexible and reliable. We used their (free) wedding websites to create an information hub for guests & family then set up our gift list with them as well. We combined honeymoon wishes with a few things for our home and garden. As items were purchased from our list the money went directly into our bank account so that we weren't having to worry about transporting boxed items back home from our Greek... (read more)

www.JusttheThing.co.uk was one of the few things that went really smoothly for our rained-out wedding! Wedding guests and family followed the wedding planning process through our wedding website and purchased gifts with credit or debit cards directly from our site. We liked the way there was no need to go through a third-party site for purchasing and we weren't forced to have advertising or other company logos on our wedding website. We have been living together for two years already... (read more)

We got married in June (2011) and were very happy to have had friends recommend www.justthething.co.uk the year before. Here's the highlights: What she liked: Website themes to match wedding stationery, ready-made gift list items to get us started building out list, secure access to funds, guest-book feature where friends and family left messages for the six months leading up to our wedding day - all now copied into my weddingday scrapbook. What he liked: Interactive maps, video... (read more)

A very easy way to ask for money instead of traditional gifts for our wedding. We controlled everything and had items ranging from £2.50 beers at the airport through to £250 for a piece of art (to commemorate the big day). Guests purchased 'items' and the money went direct into our account. There are two payment options, allowing 'guests to cover costs' meant it didn't cost us a penny which has got to be good value. Very happy with the end result and lots of compliments in our on-line... (read more)

Great website themes, quick loading times. All our guests used the site to contribute towards our honeymoon paying with credit cards and/or debit cards - quick transactions and lots of compliments. Guests contributed £3,500 towards our honeymoon in the Maldives which was exactly what we wanted having already moved in together two years ago. Would happily recommend to other couples. (read more)

A great way to ask for money instead of traditional gifts. Our civil ceremony was abroad so there was no way we could carry boxed gifts home again - instead, guests contributed towards our new kitchen and bought everything from cutlery to cupboard doors! Since the honeymoon we've had lots of people over for dinner to see our 'gifts' in action - a brand new shiny kitchen! (read more)

Following a recommendation, we gave this website a go for our Civil Union and were very pleased with the results. One of the few wedding website services that offers plenty of variety for same-sex couples.
We hadn't planned on having a gift list at all, but after a number of requests we went for a cash gift list as we'd already set up home together. Guests contributed toward two charities which are dear to our hearts, and then sent us on a romantic mini-moon to Florence. Finally, we were...

Our wedding took place in Spain, summer 2010. Many friends and family members traveled from all over UK and Europe to attend. We had 150 guests altogether attending the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception/party. After the events, there was no way we could transport home again boxed gifts to the UK.
We used www.JusttheThing.co.uk for our cash gift list because it was the easiest and way to ask for money instead of gifts for the wedding. Guests 'bought' us...

Brilliant website! Highly recommended - they helped us list our honeymoon so our wedding guests could send us on an unforgettable trip to the Maldives as well as including some items for our home and fav charity. Very easy to use interface - there's no downloading of special software or anything. Much better than having multiple gift lists! (read more)

We thought they were really great, they offer a low-cost, easy to use online gift list service for weddings. Pretty much what it says on the box - "The polite way to ask for cash instead of gifts for your wedding..."
Feedback from guests was all positive - having an online guest book is a nice touch. We really appreciated the free download option so we could keep a copy.

We got married abroad, but had our reception in the UK. Just The Thing gift lists worked out perfect as we didn't want to be carrying bulky gifts back home after the ceremony, and as well as that, guests who came to the reception only were able to log-in to see updates on the ceremony. Definitely a great website if you're planning on asking for money instead of the traditional store gift-lists. (read more)

Just The Thing Exceeded expectations. Easy to set up website and manage the gifts/money coming in. Took all the akwardness out of asking for cash and our guests seemed to love the site. If I get re-married, would definitely use again (read more)

Very happy overall with JusttheThing - a very polite and simple way to ask for cash instead of gifts for our wedding.
We nearly had to call our wedding off as my fianc e was made redundant in mid 2008. However a very clever bride-2-be on YAYW Forums suggested we set up a cash gift registry to let our friends & family help with the big day.
In the end our list was very unconventional, but everyone loved the fact that they were helping us to have a wedding at all. We got married (in the...

I didn't really want a standard wedding list as my partner and I currently live together and we've got all the plates, toasters and fondue sets we need. So I was really pleased to find JustTheThing.co.uk because it lets us put up wedding gifts that we wanted and could actually use like money towards our honeymoon.
The site was so easy to use as well - you get your own webpage to direct family and friends to so it all feels very personal which is exactly want you want with your wedding list!...

I found www.JusttheThing.co.uk in WebUser's Best New Websites for 2008. The site is good for couples needing a hub for information for their wedding. Being Irish, marrying a French girl in Scotland we had guests coming from the UK, Ireland, France, US and Canada for our wedding.
Having a central site to post wedding news made my life a whole lot easier. Our gift list was a huge help as guest could pay in any currency from their home country and we received a large sum of money to put...

We set up our Engagement Registry with www.justthething.co.uk. Bringing two large families together from three continents for the festivities was always going to be a challenge. Having a central hub for information and messages definitely took the headache out of it for my future hubbie and I. Our party was a huge success and we received lots of compliments on the site. We have already set up our new wedding site and look forward to putting together another gift list in the near future. (read more)

Just The Thing is an easy to use website building tool which lets you create a professional looking wedding website for free. If you run a gift list there is a service fee but this can be added to the cost of your gifts so that guests pay it - which is what we did. All-in-all we were very happy with how our list ran and we were able to settle up within a week of our wedding so we had plenty of cash for our honeymoon. Would definitely use them again - just hope I don't have to get married... (read more)

Our wedding website was set up just before Christmas with just the thing for our April wedding. Our guests loved the site and we got lots of compliments on the pictures we posted. We were given just over £3900 towards our honeymoon and new home. If you are looking for a cash registry rather than the old JL and Debenham options, then this is definitely one of the best. Many thanks to the customer service team for helping me upload our wedding pics too. (read more)

I am an Australian who married an English man and we had our wedding in the U.K. "Just The Thing " was just the thing I needed to organise my big day.
As many of our guests had flown from Australia "Just The Thing," was a perfect set up for those guests who wanted to buy presents. Also our UK guests commented to me how easy the website was to use and that they will be highly recommending it to others. Some even said they were going to use it for themselves.
I know there are many...

I rate Just The Thing gift registsry website 10/10.
No other website has offered the same service with flexible options to create your very own website along with a gift registry.
I have set up three websites now including our Christmas party, which basically sent out an invitation to our guests, a website which included photos, greetings and comments, maps, a guest list and a menu.
The site created a personal touch to my party and the gift registry was a bonus for I didn't end up with ten...

A free, colour and subject themed celebration website (Ours was a wedding, but we're starting to build a christening one ahead of a new arrival) When I think about all the tat we've been bought over the years when people have wanted to buy us a gift, but haven't really known what we needed or wanted...
We were married in Autumn '07, and as we'd been together 4 years already, all the usual gift list suspects didn't really apply. We'd already got the toasters, teasets and towers of crockery......
