Good Points: Good comfortable boots, still fully waterproof after 3000 miles and through winter. Has zip and velcro flap, with an inner membrane to keep you nice and dry. Looks nice and keep your feet warm. Not bad protection and not too expensive either. Good foot movement for easy gear change with good grip on soles too. Not a bad boot for walking around in either.
Bad Points: No real bad points. No toe sliders, not a major thing for me. Good foot movement, which means could be more chance of ankle damage in a smash, especially against, say, Sidi Vertebra style. Can be a little tight, so get 1 size up from your normal shoe size. Can get warm in high heat, but in uk, when will that happen?
General comments: These are my every day boots. the black rain Evo is a good boot, comfy and reliable. I have had mine a while, no problems at all. Still going strong. Took half a day to train them to my feet, but after that, no issues. Cleaning couldn't be simpler as no major nooks or crannies to hide dirt and such. For an all weather boot, these are amongst the best I have tried. Cheaper than some, more than others. Put my old Oxtar ones I had to shame.
Perhaps not for real racer styles, who would prefer a little more ankle support, like a Vertebra style, but has good protection never the less. Will buy again, whenever my current pair eventually run out.
