Clear things first. BAM originally came out with the B-1, B-2, B-3 & B-4 that you now see under Xisco and Industry (all Chinese companies). B-1 and B-2 are break barrels with B-1 being youth and B-2 being adult. B-3 and B-4 are under-levers and B-3 is youth while B4 is adult. N-1 and N-2 represent .117 calibre and .22 calibre respectively or it will be stated in the name. BAM B2-1 will be reviewed here.

Having played with a lot of plastics out there, the first thing you'll notice is that it is made entirely out of WOOD AND METAL with only one plastic part that could have been metal. Also, you'll notice less than stellar craftsmanship. BUT compared to plastics, this will feel serious (6lbs serious)and you'll notice that the Monte Carlo stock is quite thick which could be sanded down. Understand that this is a really basic barebones airgun. No frills, just down right air rifle to the extreme. So much so that there is no safety which is why I wouldn't give this to a kid. Also not good for kids is the strength required to cock the rifle and squeeze the trigger. The iron sights could be better but there is a dove tail for scopes. Accuracy is not amazing but a tune in will do fine. Power is around 450fps in 7.9g Crosman Premium Wadcutters. Can achieve 2MOA at 10m.

Okay, now that's shooting it right out the box which you can tell is a POS. To truly enjoy this rifle you must clean it, sand it or smooth it to your liking, and reoil the whole thing. It is incredibly easy to take apart (I just used a pocket knife on first go)and you'll realize just how basic it is. Clean off the factory stuff and apply better quality gun oil. Even the bore (DO NOT OIL THE MAIN SPRING) needs a good clean. Once all this cleaning and relubing is done, you'll notice an incredible improvement across the board. Replacing the main spring and/or trigger will also give you a mark in power and accuracy. Less coking pressure, better accuracy, smoother trigger, comfortable hold, and quieter, all for a a third or half the price of other airguns! Hitting 1 MOA at 10m with speeds over 500fps! With this in mind, it is an incredible offer and something you could pass off to friends without worrying. Definitely recommend.

Built like a tank, shoots hard, seems to be fairly accurate with crossman and Daisy pellets

Had to send my first BAM XS-B21 rifle back, shroud holding the front sight was so crooked from the factory that full adjustment to the right was required from the rear sight to put it on center at 10 yds. Second rifle seems ok.

These BAM XS-B21 rifles are a bit rough from the factory and must be torn down and cleaned then properly lubed to get anything from them. Also you may as well plan on scoping th ...
