Good Points: handling, motor, looks, brakes
Bad Points: Rattles, doors open to wide, aftersales service
General comments: Great high revving motor that not only sounds great but delivers stunning performance. Gearbox ratios great for push on driving, but motor spins slightly too fast at highway speeds in sixth. Gearchanges can be tackled at lightning speed and clutch feel is brilliant.
Have owned a few sporty cars including Civic Type R, Audi 3.2 Quattro and Mini Cooper S, and can truly say this little Renault outshines them all in in the handling and braking department. Great balance through corners and it feels like the rear susp. helps the car steer. Minimal understeer only when I overcook it. A bit of great lift-off oversteer can be had, but very easy to control. Steering is very precise and loads up nicely when going at it in a corner.
The seats are very supportive are some of the most comfy units I have ever experienced.
I can truly recommend this car as a great little performer with only a few shortcomings.
