I Purchased one of these recently after a friend from work was explaining that he had been given a bike by an old pal who had let it lay in his garden after a repeated electrical fault..so 10 years later i get the bike, sort the ignition switch out, clean the carb/fuel tank/filters/air box replace pipework and generally service and replace a few small items and it started first turn. Having now ridden a fair few miles on this i have to say it's pretty decent but you do need to maintain it and check over it a little more and as they get older more so. Mine has very mild rust and wear on the panels but overall in good condition even after spending many years without a cover in the garden. I purchased ridiculously cheap and in total after sorting out i paid 150 pounds for the bike(with oil and pipework etc) and its already saving me money on fuel and causing less wear and tear on my van! I had the cbr 125 in 2006 repsol which was my first cbt new, it reminds me of this a great deal just not as smooth but then for 150 pounds and ten years old what would i expect? I imagine a new one of these would be great if you serviced it yourself regularly...i can not imagine any major issues!I would not imagine a Honda to be this cheap! Great little bike just needs maintaining regularly.

mine is now over 3 years old i have changed rear tire twice, and front once, had its first mot with only a brake light switch needing fixed, and i done 20,000km , bought as cheap hack to replace a cg125 commuter , so far its turned out very reliable and shows no sign of major problems. a throttle cable snapped at about 16000km and starter motor button needed looked at but was fixed easily , it has push rod cg125 copy engine its a rough and ready lumpy engine due to push rod design it vibrates a little but has good low rpm pulling power for a 125, enough to make cruising on 50mph back roads a pleasure, initially it was only doing 50 mph ish, so had to change sprockets to improve cruising now 50 mph cruising with top speed 60mph ish, , mine was running lean and bit low on power after run in period and needed carb sorted out possibly was split pipe of some sort now runs ok after it got sorted . now it starts it goes it stops does what it says on tin . its not perfect tho , rear disc brake is too powerful and can lock up rear wheel on wet road do braking before corners as you should, a less powerful drum would have been be better and safer on rear. front disc is excellent, other niggles its nearly impossible to find neutral with engine running, after a while you just forget looking for neutral and hold clutch in in traffic, or snick it into neutral before you stop moving . the rear swinging arm has rust from winter use. it averages 95mpg and once i got 110mpg with tailwind and another time only 80mpg pulling long distance into strong headwind, its good cheap transport once the initial problems of gearing and carb piping are sorted after run in period. would i buy another yes i would. for price its done job with flying colors, just expect to fix a few little niggles before it rewards you .

I own a 13 plate xgj-125 had it for bout 3 months and had few cold damp mornings where it took while to warm up but once going starts fine all day long, I live bout 12 miles out of Edinburgh city centre and its got me there 5days a week no problem! I bought it new from dealer so its still restricted apart from the new sprocket i put on for top end speed which now gives me 55 60mph down hill then it tops out! The rev counter stop's at bout 5000-5500 so there is more power there! I would highly recommend this for a first 125 bike! Very easy to drive! I have had old AF1 aprilia and a Cagiva Mito 7 speed but they were both old 90's models so they always had problems! But I can safely say that the new skyjet is what you would expect for £1200?? Might not have full 90mph plus but in middle of city there ain't really many places you can do those speeds without getting in trouble!lol. So highly recommend from me! They have obviously fixed out all the electrical problems that were in older models and mines sits in rain basically every night and its still going with no probs! Going to get new jets and filter on payday so will get back to you guys with my top speed!

I bought this bike 2010 model I’m the 2nd owner had it since august 2012, the only problem is that its cheaply made but then again its around £950 new so you get what you pay for. I have had a crash luckily landed on grass on my 3rd day driving really I should have been more careful but only a broke indicator and front panel cracked and 1 drop on a concrete pathway which broke my foot peg bracket and a few scratches (replaced both foot pegs with official Honda CBR foot pegs) which is good for replacing with since Honda is well made not cheap stuff. only problem from the bike itself is a few electrics e.g. rear break light

had the bike 2 years from new came from a dealer pre built and 9000 miles it hasnt put a foot wrong except from a new battery and tires and general wear and tear the engine is solid. i have done a few moddifications to the bike like better tyres front and rear, cbr rear suspension which changes the handling completely added 2 teeth on the front sproket k@n filter and upjet top speed by gps is 78mph with no wind on the straight i have read a few reviews about the bike and i would buy 1 again yes you do need to look after them more than the honda and ova jap brands but you get what you pay for change the oil every 400 miles and it will last forever like the good old cg 125 i dont have any real bad points about the bike except plastic is a bit brittle and the front pegs are easyly snapped if the bike is dropped but parts and cheap and easy to find on ebay

The skyjet SJ125-23 what can you say about the bike well its not a well known bike its not that reviewed on and its not that big. So here we go. IV had the bike now for 6month in that time I fixed...nothing changed...nothing. Spend...nothing. The bike does what you pay for, you pay less than £1000 pound and what you expect £3000 of sports bike. No. It just don't work like that. The bike is design by the Chinese and when I first heard of the idea I was like No stay away. But my I lost my job and I needed transport for a new one so I did it out of despration. But you know what IV had several bikes and this is one of my favourites. Least to say it does have its bad point. Its abit shakey goin past 60 but it does it. I had a digital dial put on so i could see the real speed of the bike and i got 71-72 mph out of her and the oil if you don't keep on top of it, you will need to spend money but like IV said i haven't spent a thing. IV had a cbr and i compared it with this bike and there isn't much difference apart from the £2000 price gap. It looks the part and goes the same. I would say changing the couple of things. Changing the kph to mgh and the rev counter changing to suit but that a personal opinion. But its like I said you buy I white t-shirt for £3 but if you put a tick on it you pay £15 that's the bottom line. You hear all these bad reviews yet don't you hear the same for the rest to any other bike...YES you do. So if you want what you pay for go for a skyjet but if you want a £3000 bike go and buy one!

i own a skyjet 125 -23 f5 and would say they are ok for the price you pay however do not believe the 70 mph claimed they are good for 60 tops this also ,means if you want to take your test for your a2 licence (thats the one where you are restricted to 33 bhp for 2 years and can then ride anything) you can not do it on your own bike as they only class them as a1 power( not powerfull enough for an a2 your bike must be able to go at least 62 mph dont believe your spedo as mine is way out).i know this cos i have just done it. these bikes do not like being left outside as after a rainy night they are hard to start and after all we do live in england and it rains a lot. the batterys on these are not too good either. over all not a bad bike if you are on a cbt and just pottering about.
