Acer n311
24 Mar 2006

Summary
With its slim shape, bright, backlit 4in TFT and classy black-and-silver finish, the Acer n311 certainly qualifies as a desirable gadget.

Verdict
This is about as good a PDA as you're likely to see, but is it worth £300? BlackBerry fans will point to the lack of phone capability, and playing movies is ambitious with only 128MB. Nonetheless, the Acer n311 is beautiful to look at, easy to use and ...

Acer n311 PDA
22 Mar 2006

Summary
Acer's n311 runs Windows Mobile 5 and offers a VGA display, yet is one of the thinnest PDAs around. We take a look.

Verdict
The n311 is an attractively small and light PDA, dominated by a large good quality VGA screen. It's not the fastest PDA on the block though, and video playback can suffer but for the vast majority of tasks this is a good machine.

Summary
Acer's Windows Mobile 5.0-based n311 has a large VGA-resolution screen, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and plenty of memory. Infrared fans will be disappointed, though.

Pros
Large, high-resolution screen ; Bluetooth and Wi-Fi ; USB Host and Client support

Cons
No infrared ; protective case is inadequate ; no printed manual

Verdict
The 94mm (3.7-inch) screen accommodates 480x640 pixels, which is the highest resolution supported by Windows Mobile 5.0. This resolution is something of a rarity, and the extra pixels add hugely to the clarity of the display. Physically, the screen ...

NOKIAS ARE LAME. If you are new to phones and willing to cac handedly fumble your way around a generally user-unfreindly phone for the most basic functions....this phone will still do your head-in! Then there are all the other applications such as sat-nav...wot a joke!! who in their right mind would entrust their well-being to a phone that cant even serve to make telephone calls effectively!!?? Text messaging..have nokia no imagination or sense of fun??..no icons or images to display and a...

Nokia N95 8GB
22 Apr 2008

The Nokia N95 8GB is a great phone with too many features to list. Might seem a bit pricey but it's well worth it. The best feature would have to be the WI-FI. I've never had to pay for internet or check email on this phone. There's always free WI-FI somewhere; home, work, collage, pubs, around the city. Some people say it might be a little slow but it get's faster when you update it's firmware (highly recommended)

The Samsung i900 Omnia takes a lot of getting used to it is good on paper, light and will fit into the pocket nicely. However, the keyboard is not so good, a poor screen and poor response to touch.

Nokia N95 8GB

The Nokia N95 8GB looks great and is cool to use but has too much to look through to understand it not as easy to use as should be. Actually i think it is not for teenagers as most of the things provided on it they will never use.

Nokia N97
26 Jun 2009

I was very excited about receiving my N97. When it arrived I feverishly opened the box and started playing with it.

The actual design was a little dissapointing, but more or less what I was expecting (Nokia arne't going to win any design awards vs their competitors.)

I thought the keyboard was OK, but not amazing. I thought the screen and touchscreen element were very good and some of the apps pretty impressive.

However, there were a lot of little bugs - eg it...
