Good Points: Solid feel, good wieght, looks great, sights are plastic but of good quality, I dont fear them breaking, VERY powerful
Bad Points: Difficulty with lining up the sites (explained in review) bulky grip area
General comments: All and all I think the RWS M94 .177 Caliber is a great air rifle. The only problem I have had with it is lining up the sites. The reason for this I believe may be my body, not the gun. Due to the raised cheek piece, my cheek bone is constantly getting in the way of sighting the rifle, but as I said, I think it is due to my somewhat large cheek bone.
The grip area seems to me to be extremely large and bulky (I can't wrap my whole hand around it easily) the grip is larger than that of my Euroarms Enfield and that of my Friends Armisport Enfield (both civil war repop guns)
I can't get the gun to group well but I believe that is due to my ineptitude as a shooter, and not the gun. (Though it does seem to shoot high)
The gun is very powerful as well. It punched through a half inch piece of plywood with gamo magnum pellets.
If anyone has advice on how to adjust the trigger please contact me at capink@msn.com

RWS M94 .177 Caliber - I purchased a model 94 combo from AGE about a month ago and am very pleased with the performance. I moved the scope (BSA 2-7X32) as far forward as possible and the exit pupil still seems too far back. I have used both RWS Hobby and Copperhead Supermatch wadcutters and found the Hobby pellets less accurate. I am not a great shot but generally get most shots in a 2.5" diameter at 100 feet.
The rife came with a red fiber optic open front sight like an RWS 92 that mounts ...- Read malcr's review (189 words)

I purchased a RWS M94 with a 2-7x32 BSA airgun scope. I am having trouble getting any decent groups. Right now they are anywhere from 3.5" to 9.5" depending on the two different pellets being used. In reading all 30 of the reviews of the M94, eleven different pellets are mentioned that "shoot best". How can this be? Are these guns so different from one another? Mine was made in Spain (by Cometa I assume).
I guess the only way to get a tight group is to purchase all the different pellets and try ...- Read nimrod1911's review (104 words and 2 comments)

The RWS Model 94 .177 cal Air Rifle is well worth the $180-$200 you'll spend for the combo package. Accurate and powerful! Great for taking out sqirrels, and chipmonks. Scope is pretty good. Tight groups at 25-30 yds. Tried a Daisy powerline 1000 from Walmart, extremely loud, not nearly as accurate, and the trigger drag was horrible. I would highly recommend the RWS Model 94 .177 cal for target practice, or for eliminating pests around the yard.- Read hudsonhawk's review (208 words)

Bought my RWS M94 .177 Caliber from Bass Pro with a scope (great price). So far shot 1000 rounds already. Very happy with it. With the "made in China" RWS scope I can group well on 1/2" from 25 yards. Tried several pellets and found the RWS Superdome was the one to give the best result. My only complaint is the scope. After I installed it, I had to adjust the windage to the extream (!) to zero my shots. I tried to reinstall the scope but it remained the same. -----After 1000 shots, I have also n ...- Read wmsports's review (134 words)

I ordered my Model 94 RWS M94 .177 Caliber from http://www.airgunexpress.com/ on a monday and it arrived late on saturday(about 7:20). I was very excited because I had not expected it to arrive until monday. And I was going hunting that weekend. It shot very well and I killed a black bird at 40 yds with open sights. I was not pleased however because I also bought the RWS cleaning kit with it and it did not show me where to oil the gun. Over all I am very pleased with this demo gun because I got ...- Read tylerrob's review (129 words and 1 comment)

!WOW!I ordered my RWS M94 .177 Caliber about two weeks ago from AGE(Airgun Express)as a demo for about $120. A week later it had arrived. The front sights had looked like someone had overtightened them with some pliers and there was a small scratch at the but of the rifle being a demo and all. Other than that it is a great rifle After putting a few shots the dieseling began to stop. This being my first springer I was in awe with its power. I sighted it in with some superdomes and got groups I co ...- Read Sharpshooter13's review (279 words)

The RWS model 94 .177 is a must-have for the beginning airgunner! What a great way to introduce somebody to the sport.
I purchased mine, a demo from Airgun Express, and equipped it with my Beeman Blue Ribbon 2x7 power scope. All in all I'm very pleased with the setup... I've taken many birds and also got my first rabbit and western gray squirrel with this rifle (very tasty when done properly).
I use the 94 primarily for target shooting in my uncle's 20-yard indoor range (custom built in ...- Read JM's review (212 words and 3 comments)

I ordered a model 94 combo from Bass Pro and have nothing very good to say about the product.
I would have expected the scope to be mounted and boresighted, but it wasn't. The directions for the entire gun and scope was very poor. It mentions the use of a specific RWS lubricant to use sparingly, and you might have expected them to include a small tube, but it was not included. Then the scope directions indicated to use the scope covers when the gun is not in use, but they did not include any s ...- Read dvriser's review (313 words and 7 comments)

This is my second review of this rifle as I have had it for about 6 months and fired about 1000 plus pellets. It lost a great deal of power so I just replaced the spring which is very easy as long as you have a spring compressor to put in the new spring, as this makes things much easier let alone safer. I could have sent it back for repair for free as it was under warranty but the spring was probably cheaper than shipping charges. It is a very easy rifle to work on, so I have found out.I like th ...- Read Hec's review (155 words and 6 comments)

This is my third RWS M94 .177 Caliber, the first two lost power after around 2500 shots. The third one is rock solid with over 4000 shots fired. Outstanding warrenty and customer support!! I feel that the only pellet to use is the RWS Superdone (500 @ $7.99) for superb accuracy. Don't waste your time and money with any brand of pointed pellet. My friend has the RWS 350 Magnum a true 10, that is why I'll give the 94 a 9 overall.- Read RWS94shooter's review (93 words and 1 comment)

Many thanks to everyone who took time to review the rifles on these pages. I purchased a Powerline 1000, similar to the Winchester 1000. I could not get an accurate shot group after playing with it for a week. The trigger was very stiff and gun was not balanced. I returned it for credit and was thinking about the Gamo 220 or 440 as a replacement. Since my investment was doubling in $, I came to this site for advice. After reading all of the positive reviews on the 94, I decided on it in lieu of ...- Read bubbagotone's review (248 words)

I did alot of research and talking to other shooters before i went out and ordered my first spring gun. when i tried looking around to find the best price, the best i could find for a RWS M94 .177 Caliber was 160, but the shipping was around 25. then i looked at www.dnrsports.com and found the best deal around. so far i have only shot maybe 100 pellets, but even after 5 or 6 the trigger started to smooth right out. out of the box the adjustable rear sight (which is the best one i have seen) was ...- Read mtw4985's review (198 words)

I too did extensive reading before I purchased my model 94......... got the advertised combo with the 4x scope and rings....not real happy with my shot grouping yet......Ive ordered several different shapes and weights of pellets but have been using good old Daisy Max Speed to sight the rifle in......simply because had bunches of them at home.....and of course nobody can rule out good old human error, since I don't have the best rest to shoot from......Ive also ordered a one-piece scope ring bas ...- Read ahausler's review (189 words and 8 comments)

Like many others, i purchased the RWS M94 .177 Caliber after reading all the great reviews on this site. It is the first high powered airgun i have ever owned or fired. i've put about 100 shots through it and it works great. I didn't realize that it was so powerful. I am only thirteen so its a little hard to cock for me. the stock is just my size. The sights are realy nice. The feel is great and its not to heavy because the weight is distributed just right. i've only had the gun for a few ...- Read wolfmon's review (122 words)

Like most of the others offering reviews, I made my decision to purchase the RWS M94 .177 Caliber air rifle after reading the comments at Review Centre. I have not been disappointed! I support all of the positive comments you'll read on this site, but I want to point out some minor problems that I encountered.
I found the stock to be a little long. RWS might be wise to shorten the stock and allow the user to add a thicker pad if needed.
My first two shots resulted in a loud report, louder ...- Read Greg's review (244 words)

Bought the gun after reading reviews at this site. I've abused the gun so far, having dry-fired it twice and having the safety jam, which resulted in a hole in my ceiling. The biggest problem was the scope, which Bass Pro Shops fixed for me for about US$25.
I've shot about 300 rounds so far, and I've shot a 1" group outside on a windy day at 25 yds with Crossman wadcutter pellets. The RWS dome pellets shoot small groups but 1.5" higher at the same distance. The RWS magnum (pointed) pellet ...- Read duodallas's review (149 words and 1 comment)

I researched air rifles for several weeks before deciding on the RWS M94. The excellent reviews here on this site were a great deciding factor for the final decision.I am very well pleased with the overall quality of the rifle. The rifle is very pellet sensitive but after firing several hundred pellets I find the daisy max speed to be the the best for my rifle so far.I can easily shoot nickle size groups and sometimes better at 30 feet using a bench rest, and hoping that will get better as I get ...- Read HC's review (297 words and 2 comments)

When i recieved this RWS M94 rifle i hurried to open up the box and when i did i was very impressed. The gun felt durable and solidly built. I got my screwdriver and made sure all the screws were tight, which they were. I wiped off some excess lube from the factory and cleaned out the barrel for my first shot. The gun was pretty easy to cock, but could be tiresome after a few shots or so.
When i fired the gun the sights were almost on at 25 yards. I had shot at the fence board not expecti ...- Read David's review (296 words)

I purchased this rifle based on the recommendation of JR (see and praise it below). Thank you for your excellent and persuasive review, JR! Becoming an enthusiast of air rifles and target shooting fairly late, it took me some time to find the perfect product. I started with the Gamo Delta that proved to be fairly accurate, but somewhat weak. I tried the Daisy Powerline 856 that was a stunning disappointment: no power, no accuracy (well, at least it is cheap!?). Then I tried the best and mighties ...- Read GS's review (308 words and 1 comment)
