Bad Points: Battery life too short, mine lasts 30mins off power (8 month old laptop). Wish the lid had some sort of lock mechanism to keep it closed.

General comments: There isn't much i dislike about the HP Pavillion dv2500, it works quite well and is stylish even though it doesn't play high graphics game as well. I guess it wasn't design for that but I am at University and this laptop is more important than anything in my room. I liked the resolution, overall physical design of the machine itself and the web cam. It is quite a bit faster than other laptops andsort of easy to clean.

The HP Pavilion dv2500 is fast with an Intel 7500 CPU and an NVidia 8400M GS GPU.Excellent webcam with Windows XP
Contrary to popular believe the CPU & GPU reside under right hand side of the keyboard. One feels the heat in the left palm from the HD, and here again heat is an issue. I am frankly surprised that so little attention is paid to the heat factor in laptops in general. The bane in the longevity of the equipment. Performance comes with an very high price. In this economy laptops are una ...

If a computor / laptop that is purchase is found to be faulty in some way of no fault of your own and is fix not replaced, than the warranty on the new part should be 1 year, for if you received a new one with out fault instead of repaired, then warranty would be 1 year and not 90 days.I shall stick to my desk top computor. I may not be able to take it with me, but at least it has worked with out any problems for the past 6 years.

Bought a HP Pavilion dv2700t with the following specifications

    Intel Core2Duo T9300 2.5Ghz
    2GB RAM
    250 GB Hard drive
    Price: 905$

It came with all the usual bells and whistles like a lightscribe dvd writer, fingerprint reader, dedicated 128MB nvidia graphics card, 12 cell battery.

Someone else had got the laptop for me. So when I received it, it was around 20 days old.
So when i first got it, I immediately noticed that the keyboard was weird. The spacebar key was protruding out. Even some of ...

HP Pavilion dv2500 is one the best laptops I have ever owned, especially considering it is one of the cheapest too, I have owned many expensive laptops and got recommended this Hp pavillion laptop, decided to change considering it was more cheaper and found it to be one of the best if not the best. Great quality screen, feels very well made, great battery life (could be improved but so good every battery on a laptop in my opinion). Nothing else bad for me to say about it therefore I well recomme ...

This HP Pavilion laptop is really good... fast, handy and value for money. You like entertainment..? Then this is what you want.

I don't know whether this applys to all laptops.. but I had a small problem with my cd rom after 2 months from the purchase date... but the customer service was really really good. I called them they sent person the next day and they replaced the CD ROM and I got it back from 5 days.
