Good Points: reasonably lightweight and well balanced. Nice safety feature, generally pleasing to they eye.reasonably accurate and powerfull. Ideal for hunting in confined areas like around farm yards and buildings.

Bad Points: not quiet!!! If you miss whilst hunting, then you miss big time!! Silencer is dissapointing. Also it has a real kick to it,like most springer.though in the hands of an experienced shooter a springer kick, wouldn't matter.

General comments: The BSA XL Tactical is a lovely springer, very hardy and reliable. Like the supersport and XL, is remarkably accurate and powerfull.

I went for the .22 calibre version of the BSA XL Tactical and have been knocking down rabbits with it for a year now with no problems. Excellent! What more can I say? This is my third airgun and my first .22 rifle. I have had no problems with the rifle in the year or so that I have had it, although it has a slight kick to it, the stock is hardwearing, it has a safety, it is a simple one shot break barrel with a built on silencer. I purchased mine for abt '£250 with a gamo vampir 4x32 scope and 3a laser and flashlight. I have since swapped the scope for a Nikko Sterling Gold Crown.
